A Mechanics Fate?

Begging is not required, just down at the table and work out this very big problem we have that is not going away. If we don't work it out, will all go away, along with all the egos.

So dave and jerry must be calling themselves over the weekend.

How do you call lying, cheating, stealing and violating CBAs of employees working with them?

And you must be wrong again, don't you mean 141M you know us mean mechanics who won't let you bend us over and try to steal the airbus work?

Hawk, who is gonna get fired when the IAM wins the Airbus work and you have to pay millions of dollars in damages?

cohen, glass or yourself?

SO LET YOUR PISS POOR MANAGEMENT TAKE THE CUTS, LABOR HAS GIVEN ONLY TO HAVE A TEAM OF INEPT UPPER MANAGEMENT WHO COULD'NT TURN A PROFIT MANAGING A SHOE SHINE BOX PISS MILLIONS DOWN THE DRAIN,,,LABOR IS NOT THE PROBLEM, WHEN WILL YOU COMPANY SUCK BUTTS REALIZE THIS?

HAWK, and UZA, or one in the same...

PIT 40 has not refused to sit with managment. AGAIN....

IT IS UP TO THE MEMBERSHIP. That is the threshold you must cross. Not the union leaders.

If you relationship is good and peaceful, and trusting, you should have no problems getting them to open the contract. If the relationship is poor...you are in trouble.

This is managment's report card. Your insistance on hammering our group will only divide and maintain the disconnect between labor and managment.

I will say this...if every f/a gave $2,000 in wages alone (5,400 f/as) that would only translate to $10,400 million in cost savings. That won't put a dent in the $1.5 billion you seek. But it will surely improverish all of the f/as.

$2,000 per month is $24,000 a year cut. Impossible and unattainable. So to sit and say you need, need AFA at the table. You need AFA at the table to only place a "hammer " on IAM's head.

I won't do that for you! Nor will our f/as.

boy this wednesday webcast must be a loo-loo .i see all the big guns are out today...
hawk, give me the bus 's' check and we'll talk.....

You won't be happy until you destroyed what you call everyone’s livable wage.

You are not helping in the least with all those e-lines and posts on here, then to say it's up to the members when you are the one who indoctrinated them with this stuff!

Your stance is truly sad, because it sure isn’t noble. What are you going to say to all your members when they have NO job and NO wage and NO benefits, that they are better off?

Give me a break

USA320Pilot, weren't you preaching on here that the job market was BETTER for skilled mechanics? Didn't you go on record in these forums stating that mechanics had better employment options than pilots did? That Post-Gazette article totally debunks your theory. I think your sir are the one that needs a reality break.

uza, do you work for the company? If not, I don't think you have any right to go on these forums and attack someone that truly knows the entire story.

I forget, could you remind me how many fatalitites have occurred on WN?
have you ever seen the result of third party maintenace? have you ever worked at one? i have, and i can tell you it is scary to say the least. i will say this the manufacturers are to be commeneded on the product they put out, because its only a matter of time that cost cuts come back to haunt. bury your head in the sand and say "it will all be okie dokie". no wn has not had a maintenace related fatality to date, but they are NOW bringing maint. in-house because they see what the years of short cuts are really starting to cost.....go suck up to your manager, and beg for your job

The problem is with a local AFA president that continues with her negative diatribes. One can gather from her comments in today's CLT newspaper that she is willing to take down the company to serve her own agenda. The majority of labor will have the utmost desire to work with the company once they hear Dave's message on Wednesday.

Zeus,

And what, pray tell, might that agenda be?

Members will have an opportunity to demonstrate if they are willing to work with the co. on two votes.

Has nothing to do with the AFA PIT local or any local pres.

Pray that this management has a good relationship with the "rank and file". If I were managment I would forget the leadership and concentrate on repairing morale with the front line employees ASAP.

LMAO. 😀

Keep shoveling it. You boys are working overtime this weekend.

"Some" might work with Dave B... after the current clowns are terminated, but the window for that is tiny.

Thanks for the laugh.

Cripe here we go with the management flunkies coming on here to attack. The Observer article was not as balanced as it should be. Teddy Xidas is doing exactly what her membership wants her to do: fight for their profession!

Are you suggesting that the rank and file union members are too stupid to make up their own mind? That's how I read what you wrote.

That said, had it ever crossed your mind that US management (CCY, mostly) is giving the rank and file absolutely no reason to want to buy into any more concessions??

If you guys demonstrated a fraction of a pound of leadership ability, perhaps the union membership(s) would want to hear what you are saying.

All of this "ranting" about the union leadership is nothing more than an attempt to "Dead Agent" the duly elected union reps. I believe that if the rank and file thought you guys were capable of operating a toaster, they might instruct their leadership to me more amicable to the "demands" they are facing.

I'll say it again (since I know that neither you nor the Hawkster will deny): nobody wants to work for a loser. That's what the problem is: the current management crew has not demonstrated any acumen at all, much less the ability to turn this bad boy around on the backs of labor. Unless/until that happens, you guys are screwed, and it has absolutely nothing to do with labor leadership.

Newsflash: you have pissed off a large portion of your most loyal customer base in the last 18 months: that's hurting your revenue numbers far worse than anything labor (or, for that matter, LCCs) have done.
