And as every day goes on we continue to lose money. The amount we are losing as the days move forward is huge compared to the 14% equity the union embezzled from the membership.dfw gen said:http://aviationblog.dallasnews.com/2015/10/american-airlines-ceo-sells-stock-for-4-million.html/
American Airlines CEO sells stock for $4 million
congratulations Doug Parker! wish we had some of that! thats right twu took 14% and then refuse to negotiate for us!
Your dreaming again, the ass and the afl isnt going to do anything except collect their dues.bigjets said:Funny how the union shops are trying to keep up with the non-union shop. Here we are with the largest company, largest union and we are the lowest paid.
Time for the association and the afl-cio to step up!!!!!!!!!
They should accomplish more then collecting dues and making promises they can't keep, I e AFW MCI, and all the other jobs and pay we have lost through the years.
I have no clue just posting an update. UAL made it sound like AA mechanics came to a TA, when we all know it was not.Birdman said:What does AA passenger service agents have to do with pausing IBT's technician negotiations??
So you are willing to settle for the NEW Delta plus 3%? Really?? Everyone else is still demanding the Delta plus 7% and they should. If your a$$ had any balls they will stick to the Delta plus 7% and/or United plus 7% just as Parker promised. I honestly think if the membership holds out for it they will get it. Matter fact if you guys are givin the +7 over whoever, it was not the doing of this a$$, it was merely agreed by the co long time ago and is what they are giving to all groups freely NOT what the unions are nego for their members, but this a$$ will indeed brag all day long that they got you guys that when in fact it is the co freely offering it up. Now we all see where you stand. All the others on here will stand for the +7% NOT the +3%. Your so lame...Overspeed said:Sounds like IBT and UA potential TA was DL rates + ??? (AA CWA offer DL incl 14.5% plus 3%) The Association stall is strategic! They are waiting for IBT UA to settle and pass a TA then we will go for UA+??? which will be higher than DL+3%.
The Association is brilliant!!! Just brilliant!!!

If this doesn't generate enough cards for an election among the majority of AA mechanics nothing will.Tater Salad said:
what is true is that the IAM is in control of the Ass for the first 2 yrs,
When you have a union based on socialism where the entire goal is to maintain equality with no regard for skill then you end up with this situation of the Passenger Service Agents being a factor around every members issues.Birdman said:What does AA passenger service agents have to do with pausing IBT's technician negotiations??

What's an Association? You mean to tell me you guys aren't IAM yet? That's basically how we feel. Most feel it really doesn't affect us.1AA said:Unless you upset the guys in Tulsa and Title II, we will never get enough cards. Don't forget the guys over on the USAIR side. How do they feel about the Association?
I have a feeling from past history, it'll be a long, long time. Just relax. "Just be happy you have a job."Tater Salad said:Since all of the negotiations threads are locked(why?), I'll have to post this here.
The word from a 591 official is that the TWU/IAM reconciliation is essentially done, with crew chief seniority being the only unresolved topic. They want to shelve the seniority issue until negotiations to see what the company has in mind, and then decide if its worth the fight. Apparently Jim Weel, the company's chief negotiator, has said he wanted to get the agents contract out of the way until he deals with M&E. So, the company is ready to talk, the negotiating committee is ready to talk, whats the holdup?
The IAM leadership has been quoted as saying they are happy, they have just gotten a raise, and there is no hurry in getting a deal done fast. Whether this is true or not, what is true is that the IAM is in control of the Ass for the first 2 yrs, and they decide when its time to talk with the company. I think we need to get the word out to our IAM brethren, and demand some answers as to why we aren't at the negotiating table.
