2015 AMT Discussion

700 is right, we actually voted in the OSMs, more accurately Tulsa voted them in, as they have the numbers to vote down any contract. Don't worry they got theirs.

They grabbed push backs, window cleaning, deicing, what else? And what do we think they will grab this time around?

And people wonder why we have a case of the ass over bag handle
And you would suggest having you guys do this pilfered items for $40 per hour? You  are out of touch on the way thing have been working, this mechanism has been left unchecked for years and someone is actually assigning work that is in-line with what that group is paid, and sorry, you don't get any of the gravy work. And as far as "what else ....maybe checking the oil, ect."

Here at  LGA  LUS fleet does repositioning. I think its okay for fleet to do it at stations where there is no MTC. But where there is MTC that should be your job

At the time, we were at about $22.00 per hour, and the task of de-icing was considered a safety of flight issue.  I didn't vote for giving up de-icing, it was voted in regardless of our votes (in ya know what I mean).

Do you actually comprehend what you read?

Back in 2012 DL cut the profit sharing by 33%, from a 15% payout to a 10% payout.

They just cut it again, and changed the metrics on how it is paid out.

DL earned $6 billion last year, which resulted in a 20% payout.

Now any profits up to the $6 billion mark will only be paid at 10%, that is a 50% reduction, they will only get 20% on any profits above 20%.

And the bar is raised every year now after.

Understand?

Well, that's still 10% more than what we will be getting.

And DL has twice cut it since 2012.

A guaranteed wage with raises built in is better than Profit Sharing, DL is slowing going to eliminate it.

Not surprising. I believe I mentioned that earlier. Next year will consist of 12 months. I wonder which month that will be. In the meantime another day, week month goes by and we are losing money that is unrecoverable.

No meetings here today that I'm aware of. I've said for awhile it would be after the holidays before anything got going in negotiations.

I heard like back in July that the IAM estimated at least 18 month for a new contract. I refused to believe it then but now I think that may be a little optimistic.
