2015 AMT Discussion

That was Dave Siegel CEO of US who sent the letters to the spouses, not the IAM.

And Siegel was planning on holding his own revote.

So we could have two CBAs abrogated instead of one.
show the proof 700 I don't believe you at all.

100% wrong.
The IAM and TWU are working well together.
Classifications and basic seniority has been settled a long time ago.
And the IAM is head of the Association for now, and not in charge of negotiations, it's a mutual effort.
Stick to AMFA and WN's negotiations, as you are way off on what is going on at AA.
Bottom line is AA will have a JCBA in way shorter time than what has been going on at WN.
How many years has it been now at WN?
no there not your wrong. Why don't you stick to leaving every one a lone and keep your nose out of our fight. At least at southwest AMFA the amts are making way more then us .More benefits then we have. Lower insurance premiums then aa has. So the amts at wn are in a better place . And I know unlike the twu/iam .AMFA want give the hard fought items up. Like the twu/iam have in the past 30 years . And air trans mechanic made out very well in the merger unlike aa mechanics have in the new American west/ us air . Since aa has only the name left

If you are willing to work with LUVs work rules and scope I"m sure AA would give you the same pay and benefits. But  about 5,000 of you would be on the street. Yet you refuse to acknowledge this time and time again. You are the thickest skilled professional.elitest manly conehead  I've ever read

Wrong. The IAM should be gone and the TWU would have called the shots. One union, one voice! Pilots and flight attendants took the correct path. The greedy unions are to blame for the delay in getting a JCBA not the membership. The Association is to blame not the members.

Typical TWU mindset, less pay and benefits for increased headcount. We know this doesn't work as seen time and time again. Yet these lav dumper guys continue to try and tell us they know whats best for us. And then call names and hurl insults. Go back to your baggage handler, lav dumper thread, then go and drop some brownies on the ramp, careful, don't get any in your eye.

Hey genius. There have been a heck of a lot more than 5,000 of them sent to the street during the TWU regime during the last 30 years, try nearly tripling that figure, all the while not making or having the same pay and benefits and work rules as SWA mechanics have. So please explain that. The past has shown this time and time again. Nice try on the "AA would be more than happy to pay them SWA's wages and benefits and work rules".  When in fact they have thrown many upon many to the streets all the while removing a ton of pay, benefits and work rules again and again in the past.  "THINK" before you post there genius...

AA has 14,000 mechanics for 900 airplanes, WN has what 2,300 for 700 airplanes.

Do the math its very simple.

You say the laid off 15,000 that probably wasn't enough to reach the same costs as LUV maybe they would have to layoff another 5,000 to reach that. Why can't you geniuses understand this is a competitive business not a place that prints  money for the elite skilled soon to be replaced by Mexican MROS mechanics."But... but the work is inferior  they won't be able to do it"  guess what they are. Check out your Learning Path guys there is an ESPANOL option

well they can get a monkey to throw bags on a airplane and pay them with bananas . So be careful what you wish for

I'm not wishing this on you I personally think you are skilled and should be compensated such. But do the math 14,000  for 900 A/C as opposed to 2,300 for 700 A/C in a competitive business

Sure is fun watching all the infighting...

Meanwhile, the bosses sit back and laugh and laugh...
Everyone rank and file included are laughing, so what. In the end neither work group really cares what the other is thinking. My only problem is I think fleet will reach a T/A long before the AMTS and I dont want to wait for them but I can't blame them  their issues are far more complex

Better yet, you all should've been able to vote. Sure, based on numbers it's likely the TWU would've prevailed, but still...
The NMB made sure we were suppressed of a vote.
So here we are two years out of BK and working under a BK contract.
