2014 Pilot Discussion

Not to worry, this pilot group will take the first nickel that comes along. The APA now I hear has all their little fraction groups now forming as it is starting here also so much for unity, they are no match at all for Parker and Glass. The vote on the MOU signed our fate. Just realize we are going to screw ourselves again. This place will never be as good as Delta.

We just don't learn from our past mistakes I'm sorry to say.

If the company has time... and they always do.. they will start to punish the members for the intransigence of the BOD, so as to cause a mutiny of the members against the BOD.   And the company will have help from subversives among the membership.  It has happened like clockwork before.  The ones that hold the line may be kneecapped, crippled, and then blamed.

"Tonya Harding" is among us.

Agreed, the process has already started and all the pants wetter are coming out in force.

Gentlemen: I pretty much "gave up" on the group after the MOU was so joyously unquestioned and instantly rolled-over-for, not to mention the mindless-chip/traderjake sorts that actively subverted the chance to properly exploit an obvious and very rare, nay, even unique tactical opportunity, since it was very clear to me that "doug"/management were at their most vulnerable then, but, for what very little it's worth, should it come to vote, I won't go for "Hey!..I could pocket a few more dollars fast!...Whoopie!" for any sell out of anyone else's futures here. I'm just too disgusted by it all anymore to change now. ;)

In the F-14,, you just push up the throttles to zone5 afterburner and pull back on the stick! No problem.

Sigh!..."Typical Squid!" I'll assume you had not the slightest respect for the poor little, half-assed-camoed MIG-21 impersonators/"White Mice" at Red Flag. While the F-5 had a bit better relative punch than the '38,  well...be fair to the USAF; anyone could only do so much with those little GE engines, after all...umm..although there are "rumors" and even reports of Tomcats sometimes being on the wrong side of reticles there. ;)

I bet if you started at 400-450 and put 4-5 g on your first pull you could make it over the top, but I wouldn't bet my life on it.

No worries. Your life would be safe, had you bet it.

The Green Book is our contract.  The company is saving money as they work through the really difficult <<sarcasm>>  process of getting everyone on it (sorta like the reserves getting screwed out of their off days).  If the company wants to argue that we have to pay for the cost of bringing us up to the contract, that would not be abiding by the contract.  And that is why they would try to make us pay for it! :D
Uhhhh....didn't our FORMER NAC at USAPA try and tell us that we needed to vet out the contract while we HAD the leverage??  I mean, if you can remember back that far.

NEWS FLASH:  The group(s) have been "factionalized" for quite some time.  While I would LOVE to stand UNITED with our fellow "pilots" here at the NEW AMERICAN the reality is that this group makes a "Sons of Anarchy" sitcom look like Sesame street.

You may ASSUME I could be in that category but I have espoused reality to no avail.  The BOD at APA has been their OWN worst enemy and I see nothing from the "Hitler youth" revealing otherwise.

I started wearing a raincoat after I figured out my pants were wet from the APA/New USAPA "pissing" all our leverage out the door with LOA 93.1.

The flight attendant arbitration is out and they got their haircut.  Just waiting for ours now in Arbitration.

HEY, MAYBE WE CAN HIRE JEFF FREUND FOR OUR JCBA ARBITRATION!!!

You mean like the "futures" the APA gave with "B" scale and scope (not to mention Reno/AirCal/TWA) ????  You mean our ALPA brothers and sisters who tried to "sell out" the real meaning of "seniority" for one that varies on the twist of which side of the river you grew up on???  I agree with you the Chip and Dan "show" has succeeded in doing the one thing that labor here has tried to accomplish since the US Air/Piedmont/PSA merger days:  disunity in the ranks.

You may not LIKE my truth and reality but you know the facts as well as I do.

Uhhhh....kind of like unionism.  Like I've been saying for years, no principles, no SOP, no fury.

Most "impressive", but you might find more ready identification with: "There's a Sucker born every minute." P.T. Barnum

The Flight attendants didn't lose anything and the company didn't win any concessions.  The arbitration was over in a matter of days.

Do some math...

The company is offering us $1.1B instead of going to arbitration.  Even Ray Charles can see something is missing from the company narrative (its negotiations, so its not really lying).  Their current offer gets them more than they can get in arbitration.  Ergo the BOD has a responsibility to counter offer, and it appears a majority gets it.

We'll see if Glass can whip up a mutiny and rout us all, LOA 93 and MOU style.  Which former displaced union "leaders" will aid in the mutiny?   The sharks are circling for the weak.  Personally I think you can get angry, but I don't think you have the stomach to knee cap fellow pilots.
