mitch vasin (middle cheer leader) is on the APA pilots website talking tough about his former management (america west airlines), while he is still walking bow legged from his 2004 hire interactions with his former airline management.

Other than as largely dead weight to drag along in the future, with some already practiced scabs, and many others expressedly eager to prove their "worth" during any possible strike; the AWA "army" isn't really worth much time wasted even thinking about anymore. In addition to their ferocious "spartan army" of perpetual adolescents, "battle"-tested-"knights" and even "Larry Potta"; there are decent sorts within the PHX bunch...however well they mostly hid themselves during the previous years. Do I like or respect them as a group?...Hardly, since I've yet to see even the slightest reason to do so, and instead seen a great many reasons to have only the fullest contempt, but thankfully, incurably infantile cases like the below aren't ever really the "norm"  within an at all functioning society/group/etc anywhere:

Guaranteed?  If we end up in binding arbitration, that pay rate could go out the window if the company valuations are obscene and accepted by the arbitrator.

My Defined Benefit pension was "guaranteed", too.  How is yours doing?

First, could we PLEASE stop all the You Tube videos??? We've seen them how many times now???

Second, I am still waiting on a definitive analysis of what happens either way once negotiations are over. Already we have those who want to accept the company offer and those who don't even want the BOD to let us vote. IMO, since negotiations are NOT over yet and won't be for weeks, we don't really have enough information to make anything close to an informed decision. Once they are, and someone puts a pencil to them to see what an up or down vote looks like, who of us can really decide unless you are making a strictly emotional knee jerk decision?

We have time... enjoy your Thanksgiving.

The American guys love them. Forewarned is forearmed.......

Just spoke with a Delta aquaintance, he is a super 80 F/O in N.Y. He just flew his second green slip trip this month. His November pay is $30k+, for the year he is already over $200k. No wonder Parker doesn't want to talk about anything outside of his framework, and distances himself from any section 6 type of negotiations. There is things in Delta's contract that he just can't stomach.

-- How many POTA calls did he receive? Bet he can't match ours!
-- How many Crowne Plaza and Ramada overnights did he get? Bet he can't match ours!
-- How many contract grievances does he have? I know he can't match ours!
-- How many days on reserve a month? I know he can't match ours! (And don't even talk about the free month a year East reserves are forced to work while the company violates the contract)
-- How many calendar days does he work a month? .. and how many for only 2 or 3 hours of pay? I know he can't match ours!
-- How many of their 757s are being replaced with 187 pax AB321s with the commensurate pay cut? Can't match ours!
-- How many etc. etc. etc....

Happy Hollidays!
