I agree with you here. I wouldn't be one bit surprised to see the AA guy next to me on the master list with a DOH after mine. AA has a lot going for it heading into this arbitration. I'm good with whatever happens, as long as it's put together by the unbiased arbitrators after the appropriate testimony and vetting. I can only speak for myself, but the NIC at all costs is a red herring. What I always objected to was the stacked deck the east insisted on from the JNC pullout onward. I've spent thousands, and I don't care if I see the NIC again. I just don't want any one group either unilaterally deciding it or stacking the deck so much that it is effectively the same thing.

I prefer the west have a seat, but even if we don't get one I do take comfort in the fact that 3 arbitrators will be almost certainly be constructing the list.

Sit on these boards and piss and moan about what you don't have and what you deserve and how everyone has conspired to keep you from your "rightful" place and you sound like you are not even grateful for what you do have. God has a way of slapping people like you up side the head when you least expect it. The plaque in your veins don't give a **** about NIC. Let one little piece break off and the NIC will be the least of your worries. You will recover in about 20 years. Relax son. This arbitration panel has grasped the concept of credit for longevity in the past, for sure. I doubt that there is anything special about the 35% number outside of the specific numbers associated with the United and Continental merger. If the longevity number in our merger ended up the same it would be purely coincedental.

We've dealt with a constant threat since merging with the unmergeables. The threat is being dealt with as we speak. Now, American is going to inherit the unmergeables and their problems. If it wasn't America West, you'd be fighting with United or another airline who acquired the malcontents of US Airways. The unmergeables have already been griping about the travel policies and the Jumpseat reservation system. You can't help yourselves, you are not happy until you make everyone else who has the bad fortune of merging with you miserable too.

You dimwits keep talking about jail and incarceration.  Unless you can fast-talk some district attorney into prosecuting (and winning), there cannot be jail time with a civil suit.   The best you can hope for is to win a civil suit with damages, and in light of how things have gone for you dimsits so far, that is unlikely in the extreme.

Exactly!  The east has taken advantage of the attrition they wished to protect in 2007.  I think we are well positioned for a list slotted by equipment with a nod to longevity.
