I'm not out to screw anybody... That being said, I think much of the risk lies with the APA and what the West is doing amounts to a Hail Mary pass with no receivers downfield.
I meant by going to MB, not that "we" are trying to screw them, if the west was smart they would get on board with us they have nothing to offer either side in this merge.

And no matter how much you ever fantasize or beg; as a person who's best, if totally twisted notions of "Honor" come only from a Bruce Willis movie, "LT Hardy"...You'll likely live out your whole, sorry life as nothing more ever actually demonstrated than as just a back-stabbling little snipe against your fellows. One almost feels sorry for you. "Here lies traderjake. His finest "Honor" was forever demonstrated in seeking to have 3 month new hires placed above his fellows with even 16-17 years continual service." Call me crazy here, but I'm guessing that no Missing Man formation, nor fired Salute will be given in respect to your particularly perverted notions of "Honor"....but you can always ask the "spartans" to hold some service for you, I suppose, perhaps even ask "cap'n aux" to preside...well, if that poor child's demonstrated stupidity hasn't ended him by then, of course.

Due out this week will be an NMB ruling that APA will be taking over from USAPA, union representation of US Airways pilots.  west plots will be looking at this as the beginning of the end.  For the East pilots it will be a continuation of the beginning of an era of fighting for the respect of pilot tenure in the airline industry.

APA pilots combined with AirCal, Reno, TWA and others, the results are history.  The USAPA merger committee will provide results for the future.

Premature celebrations by the west pilots are legendary, this week will be no different.  Fighting for pilot respect by USAPA is history and this week, more history in the making.

For those East and west pilots that coveted their own best interests during the past, I will be outing you in the future.

Agreed, they were bankrupt, there is very good chance the AA boys could get screwed with MB. Wilson is gambling with the careers of his pilots, my friends are telling him it would be better to get an agreement with us outside MB.
The APA is like the a West pilots. But I will say this: arbitration is a crap shoot that no one has any claim on legal certainty. Arbitrators make their own law.

You had nothing to offer in the previous acquisition other than a bankrupt airline with a third of your pilots furloughed. Parker is going to look the other way while AA management and the APA eats your lunch. You helped yourself to every slice of our pizza---- time to leave, the APA will show you the exit. You get to pay your own bills. Bad for you, HUT. The West and APA against the East. Our turn.. HA! HA!

Pipe dream, wet dream...whatever. You sure know how to talk out of your a$$. And what are YOU offering this time around? One base that you share with Southwest and 24% borrowed flying from the East to keep it alive. Do tell how that puts you in the drivers seat? I'm all ears...

The delusion is astounding.

If the APA does "eat our lunch," I shudder to think where that would leave the stuck-in-the-sandbox westholes.  They are delusional if they think they will not be sucking hind teat in this process, and they are lucky to even get that.

Horsechiit! US Airways was Done and you know it.

"The Nation
US Air Files for Chap. 11 Again. 2004/sep/13
The company says passengers 'should notice no changes,' but some analysts worry that the carrier may not survive this bankruptcy.

But industry analysts said that US Airways' situation was dire and that it was possible the airline's reorganization would eventually dissolve into a liquidation that would ground the carrier forever."

Too bad that did not happen. Parker should have picked up the pieces. You're damn lucky to be at AA so thank Parker you aren't still flying the Lay-Z-Boy..Boy
