MACH85 as far as your new boss, same ass the old boss, well welcome your frustration to start a new cycle, thanx for complement about my employment preference at the time , HAPPY LABOR DAY! no I did spell check it is not an oversight! MM!

APA Labor Day history tidbits.

"Most of the confusion over contractual dates derives from these HI-8 entries,
because not all of them correspond to dates that have contractual significance. For example,
HI-8 lists a “DTE HIRE” for the former Air Cal, Reno and TWA pilots that is simply an
historical artifact.
The only contractual Date of Hire is the date explained above relating to a pilot’s employment at American."
"TWA pilots additional credit in their Occupational Date for their time
as a pilot at TWA. This particular pilot has a modified Occupational Date of October 18,
1992 and a Classification Date of April 17, 1986. American assigned a Company Date of
July 29, 1985. The DTE HIRE is the same date but has no contractual significance at
American. It is simply a computer artifact.

"agreed to a modified Classification Date.
The DTE HIRE lists the pilot’s date of hire at Air Cal in 1976; however, the date has no contractual significance at American."
"The pilots were, nonetheless, given a Classification Date corresponding to their
date of hire at Reno. American assigned a similar Company Date but the DTE HIRE has
no contractual significance at American."

MUTATIS,

You obviously are uniformed about the AirCal merger. I haven't seen one poster that is.

You guys keep raising that one as some unfair treatment. It is funny to keep reading those comments from you and others.

Every merger is different. APA didn't fall under ALPA merger policy.

Now where would you have place the TWA pilots given AA managements past history of eliminating flying. A substantial amount of short haul TWA was dead on day one, as was it's caribbean routes, Cairo, Riyadh and TLV. The real risk was there.

I'll try again, where would you have placed them?
Here is your answer: date of hire with fences. Quit meddling with the formula. Quit penalizing any pilot for the unfortunate situation their mgt placed them in. Quit walking on their backs.
Quit thinking it could not happen to you.
Every group save the pilots at US Airways merged DOH. Every other group worked out fine. Every one. The pilots have years of destructive division due to a quota system. west pilots would be fine with DOH now. Many on the 330. They blew it.

APA and former awa pilots take notice of USAPA bylaws.

"C. Within three (3) business days of either the NMB decision or membership vote triggering dissolution (hereinafter, the “commencement date”), the National Officers shall make a determination as to whether existing circumstances present, or may present in the future, the need for collective legal action on behalf of the pilot group, including, but not limited to, representation in seniority integration proceedings."

APA tried to force the USAirways pilots to give away the MB protections, the very ones authored by the legislators in one of the states that hosts the american airline pilots.

The company at one point stated the change of control meant nothing but asked for its legal demise as one of top priorities.

The apa pilots state that the MB legislation means nothing but require its legal demise.

The company and apa will tell you the following means nothing, but will request USAPA pilots to relent on its power.

USAPA Constitution and Bylaws.

One day you could say to future pilots you were a former APA pilot, the ones that handled the Air Cal, Reno, TWA, AWA and attempted USAirways pilots end run.

One day you can say you were an AWA pilot and wanted to jump 17 years of seniority.

One day you could say to a future airline pilot that you were part of USAPA.

What facet of airline pilot historical action do you want to be part of your legacy?

Do not just sit there and pay dues, be part of it.

Claxon,

You really don't know how the AirCal list merge was handled do you?

Are you posting from some group home, posting and eating pizza rolls in your Mom's basement or just stupid?

Sorry, I've addressed this with you in the past and it's gone right over your head.

Here's a clue "real man of genius", Who are current 777 Captains? AirCal, Reno or TWA?

If you knew you wouldn't include them in your hysterical rants.

FYI, the MB legislation should be re-titled as the "Revenge of the Cat Ranchers Bill". The FA's did a total staple. APA set of a deal where if the TWA system survived, they'd have the quickest upgrades in the system, if not, they'd go behind most AA guys. Almost 400 Captains still have their protected seats despite their flying disappearing.

I'm out of this idiotic, 957 page thread. You're a poster boy for chronic stupidity. Don't feel bad, you're not alone.

"DECLARATION OF ARTHUR McDANIELS
I, ARTHUR (“RUSTY”) McDANIELS, under penalty of perjury, declare the
following to be true and correct based on my personal knowledge and information from the business records of the Allied Pilots Association (“APA”) within my custody and control."

"14. Former Air Cal Pilot HI-8 on page 6: When American acquired AirCal in
1987, pilots coming from AirCal were assigned Occupational Dates under the pre-1997
Section 15 that gave them substantial but not full credit for their service at AirCal in their
Occupational Date for bidding purposes and APA agreed to a modified Classification Date.

The DTE HIRE lists the pilot’s date of hire at Air Car in 1976; however, the date has no
contractual significance at American."
