I don't think the next arbitration panel is going to disregard Nicolau's work.

The West realizes this is going to arbitration, they will have a MC, and the final result will be a lot closer to the Nicolau Award than DOH. 

That will depend on the arbitrator. After the NIC result, one should never expect a decision to go one way or the other. Who would have expected such a windfall. I'm fast approaching the point where I'd rather take my dog for a ride in my truck than care about this stuff. I officially leave all of my worries to traderjake....enjoy!

There are plenty of 2013 and 2014 hires that could think a Nic method would be correct. And plenty of others too.... Who could be opposed to a Nic method now?  
 

Yes, A Nic type list now would value a 2014 east new hire in the right seat of a 767 far above a west 2004 hire in a 320

Agreed.  All the nic proved is that arbitration can be both whimsical and even out-right crazy. One might just as well consult the nearest tribal shaman/astrologer/gypsy/whatever for omens and portents, while no sane man can contest the value of spending time with a good dog.

What if Bloch is on the next panel? His conclusions about the merger were completely different from Nicolau's, and history has shown that he was correct. Will he going to disregard his work to support Nicolau's?

Snapthis, bullfighting is part of the Spanish culture, judge it for yourself. The Plaza del torros is a beautiful venue. Bullfighting on horseback by "rejoneadors" is an exciting blend of padgentry and horsemanship....of course, if you are not a meat eater, then most likely, a museum would be a better way to spend your time.

Yeah, sigh...one really has to be "muy macho" and "tough" to torture and only-ever-so-slowly kill essentially helpless animals, whether reasonably carnivorous or not. Steak's a marvelous gift, as is meat in general, but NO respectable hunter of any kind ever wishes to see his game animals needlessly suffer for purposes of sick entertainment, much less public spectacle. My family lineage has always held that a poorly placed bullet is nothing short of of a personally disgraceful failure that's perhaps even offensive to God. Clearly, you've vastly different "cultural" notions as to how to treat other living creatures. Sigh! How 'bout just a kindly exemption for someone who's "culture" didn't give the world the Spanish Inquisition, and wasn't, at the time of the following's making, eagerly slaughtering each other so that neo-Nazi fascists could reign supreme?
