Not 141?

Josh
No... he does not work for the 141! He is a member of the 1725, that just recently started voting and going to meetings... thanks to people like you and Nelson, he got involved.
And NO... he is not Dave L... he is several inches shorter, and twenty or so pounds heavier!

Wow I am saving this post. So Tim is indeed helping engage the membership and promote solidarity. Noted.

There is a letter out.

There are a few issues they want resolved.

One is BOS and who is going to be the representative union.

Another is the strike vote language.

And some class and craft issues where at PMUS they are unionized and at PMAA they are not.

There "may" be an issue with the original snapshot count and members could have been excluded that should not have been? In the interest of fairness those numbers should be reassessed to see what that true count is or was?

I heard from a delegate at the convention that delaney mentioned contention between the twu and iam and that the matter may have to go to the afl for discussions. I dont clam to know what the issues are but is twu backing out?
The APA and ALPA had issues and they were resolved. The APFA and AFA had issues and they were resolved. This to I'm sure will be resolved and I very much doubt will cause any significant delay in moving forward. But issues need and should be resolved while the opportunity remains available to do so or they can create loss of focus to the ultimate goal we all want. A great JCBA for all.

Robbed, 1725 is definitely in CLT

"Victory Lodge" Local 1725 is one of 1,172 Local Lodges affiliated with the over 742,000 member International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. The IAM; the Machinists Union and the IAMAW are accepted proper names for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.

Local Lodge 1725 has been part of the Charlotte community since it was first chartered on June 2nd, 1943 after workers at Brown Equipment and Manufacturing voted to be represented by the Union. Representation in the airline industry started with Eastern Airlines in the early 1950's.

The organizations leadership is distributed through district lodges in which the majority of these district lodges are responsible for direct collective bargaining for the local lodges for which they represent.

This lodge represents approximately 2,200 active members from both District Lodges 141 & 142, and covers members employed at Us Airways, United and PSA.

The majority of members work at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in several locations with many members working at either of the two aircraft maintenance hangars or at an offsite engine assembly shop located at Wilkinson Blvd. & Harlee Ave.

Local Lodge 1725 conducts monthly union business meetings. Meeting dates and times can be found HERE.
http://www.machinists1725.org/about.htm

1725 will need to update their website because very soon CLT will no longer have UA employees at that station.

LL 1487 represents ORD.

Let me reiterate... because of You/Tim spreading misinformation, Bluto PM'd me for clarification on several items, and finally decided to get involved... in other words... YOU had a lot to do with STRENGTHENING the Membership's resolve.

Bluto... as others... realized they needed to counteract people like you, and Tim!

Thanks for your efforts...

Don't believe that for one minute, but you can't say Tim is divisive and destroying the IAM and unions in general.  As for BLUTO its not like he is new around here.  Whoever he is (he signs posts as Dave, John, Jim, and now Paul) he has been posting here since 09/2011. Initially he made substantive, articulate well written posts like this:

BLUTO said:
I do not support your ideology. I think the current condition of what used to be our middle class supports that observation.

The philosophy you have just shared with us will do exactly as it has in the past, and that is to create short term wealth for the wealthiest minority of Americans, while creating long term financial disparity for the rest of the country.

We could argue these principals forever, the fact is they are NOT working after decades of implementation and execution.

Believe me, if I were a good ol’ corporate executive on a golf course… I’d be lobbying against labor and preaching outsourcing as well. How else would I support my 500 times the average worker income?

I almost forgot, can you please provide the names of all the major retailers where I can find lots of merchandise "not" made in China. I want to try your don't buy from China suggestion.

and later moved to this jibberish:

So again I find it very hard to believe he is a 19 year employee who just recently got involved and engaged because of Tim's posts.  Nice try.

Why do you think I jumped on this thread? I was reading along for quite awhile and it just got to the point where I felt like I needed to act. So I typed in my password after a 4 year absence from participating.

Why not? I became reactive on this Forums group because of Tim. When he entered our FB Group page during the card drive by the IAM he put himself on my radar. He didn't even know that there were people telling us all about Tim and his past activities.

If Tim had not come on our page I might not even be here right now? That's the truth.
