And even with a union UA IAM will have 7 stations four years, many of which will be part time employees. And read article 1C in the TWU agreement as the S80s come out of service and are replaced with E75s a number of stations are dangerously close to the thrshold and could be contracted out in a couple years-specifically ATL, SAT and STL

Why do you want the membership left in the dark without a choice?

Josh
Why do you care what happens when you arent an IAM member nor a TWU member nor an AA or US employee?

How much is Ford and Harrison paying you?

More than an IAM GVP makes.

And read as "Josh" continues to throw the baby out w/the bathwater...

Both your examples speak to the importance of strong scope & savvy negotiators. Neither are an endorsement for going non union...

Well the IAM members at UA and TWU members at AA ratified it, right?

And yet DL employees make more than you and even with your negotiated scope language DL has employees doing ramp in more locations-43 stations plus 17 cargo locations.

A conversation I had with a guy the other day.

XXXX: Well, ready reserve is $12 / hour top out, my station is now 24/25 hours per week. Would be nice to get some benefits.Yesterday at 8:24pm

Me: Are you working for Delta?

XXXX:  Correct David, I am a RR. My last ramp job had benefits for part time employees working 24 hours per week. Non-benefited employees averaged 12 to 18 hours per week. Both scheduled 2 to 3 days per week or with a rotating schedule such as every other weekend. Just seems odd to me that we have 5 day / 5 hour schedules for RRs and 5 day / 6 hour schedules for benefited part time.

Me:  I'm in the same job as you at AA. TWU Union represented. We have NO RR on the ramp. Our PTers are given medical, dental and vision at the same rate as FTers the minute they walk in the door. There also is NO separate wage scales either. Minimum hours that a PTer can be given by the company is 4 hours but the average is 5.5 hours per week. Usair ground workers HAD RR because of their bankruptcy concessions but in their new contract that is now GONE.

Kevin is correct. You must start to get cards signed and get others to join you. If you don't the company is not going to be gracious and hear your plight. They don't care about you and that should be painfully obvious.

Don't be afraid to start advocating for better working conditions. In your position you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

I highly doubt that josh. Need to get over the past the iam rectified what wrong was done at ua and hence the 2014 contract at pmus world of difference

Robbed the same clowns will be negotiating the joint agreement and the concessionary UA agreement has implications for CEA passenger service. The TWU is better even with 17 stations.

that's your opinion which like an ahole everybody has one.for the record both the IAM and TWU will be doing the joint agreement

How is 17 flights a week superior to one fight a week either US or AA and you can't say the same about AA.

DL 141 negotiatiors and Rich Delaney will be involved, they were the architects of the sell out UA agreement. And you yourself said repeatedly the UA agreement is awful and has negative implications for US.

we're not going to see those kind of hourly rates till post merger if it happensit won't ever happen otherwiselooking at the UA deal besides the obvious scoop issues another concern to me there is the unlimited part time numbers,we cant ever agree to that. It's been said the UA deal doesnt matter to US workers, I couldnt disagree moreany phase of operation of a quote legency carrier, is closely watched by the other carriers and if sucessful will be copied in some fashion by them.

Guess you can't read a CBA or didn't bother reading the AA TWU agreement it isn't 17 flights a week.
