AF US/LCC IAM FS Members will WE receive signing bonus $ tomorrow ? Combined with pay check or a separate check ?
The signing bonus is in this week's paycheck. It is inclusive with the employees' hours worked. No separate check. It is subject to all normal deductions. (taxes, pension / 401 K etc.).

weAA 's. SFO P/T . 6.5X5 hrs. wk. = 60 hrs. pay period.  LEADS do the schedule and call OT every day ! FT Agents give up their hrs. every day. PT or FT you can work as much or as little as you choose or can afford . If you want to  sleep in your own bed Brothers/Sisters use LOA and get back to your Station . There's no place like home !
psa thank you. That's a very nice comment and I know our guys will appreciate that type of reception.

WeAAsles   in BWI  usually the PTers work 5 to 6 hrs a day  Shift Managers typically will call for OT daily

btw  I like your new pic there

In CA . putting signing bonus $ in the same check as earned income $ could be a violation of State Franchise Tax Board ? I have checked my DD on WINGS and only showing hourly increase in earned wages $ ? Anyone else on AF living in CA. not seeing SB on DD ? WeAA's SFO  has a livable wage mandate and  KAISER Medical Ins. is offered to both FT/PT US/LCC FS Agents.

Thanks Robbed. I looked through a lot of weasels pictures when I came across that one with the cocked eye. I liked my David Lee Roth on Valium pictures too.

So tell me how the OT works for you guys? Yea I can go and read it but I prefer to discuss contracts and what's in them instead.

San has 2 3hr p/t shifts....Sucks !  430-730 just to load 1 flt.
My guess is SAN is a small station for you guys? We have a few that want to get back there as well.

DD= Paperless Pay /WINGS. Thanks AA. Also, many former AWA/FS Agents in US/LCC Stations are happy to be scheduled minimum hrs. like SAN because they're working other job's and primarily work for FB's. We need to get back  in JCN and SCBA either 0 P/T or % PT by Station to restore FS as a career not a job working for FB's. Fish On !

Generally speaking of OT here its FT but a lot of shenanigans goes on. Last week for examp there were give or tak 4 or so FT on vac 3 open time li es to fill 3 of the 4 so the person w lowest hrs got it. Then in aug one of the open time agents would have a choice but an agent who puts the schd together loves to change it to help their inner circle hope that helps bro

Part time staffing is station specific. What works for one station may not apply to another. I support a system wide cap over no cap at all as evident with the UA agreement. No cap opens the flood gates.
CORRECT!!!!

The company will go wild with that, just as it is being done in our case.
So any agreement must have a provision having no unlimited FT/PT ratios.  The problem we still have is the split operated stations which LOA #6 was all about.  And it must have timetables as well, otherwise penalties must be a part of the incentive. Now the District finally sees that after our members have been taking a beating these last couple of months.

In our contract prior to the BK we had status system protection language. Myself for example was FT protected. If there was a layoff in my station the company had to guarantee me a job somewhere in the system. Along with that the penalties assessed were either a moving allowance or the company had to move my belongings and I received a $12,500 compensation for my hardship. Prior to our 03 givebacks usually your status protection came from whatever you were on the date of signing of a new contract.

Part of our 03 givebacks was that we gave the company some relief in that area. Anyone hired after July of 1998 no longer received protection status.

I truly believe that we should keep past contracts in mind as we negotiate for our future.

(On a side note. Your status protection was associated with a letter. S, for FT protection and E for PT protection. Those letters as of today are still next to peoples names under the system seniority roster?)
