yes it's better than 30 days but if they retro it on the following check how many of us will get taxed more due to a higher tax bracket?
Good point Rat. I personally think it'll get done this check. But the only alternative was to give them longer to put it in place. Whatever scenario happens. It puts more money in your pocket than giving them longer.

Guys I wouldn't worry too much about the taxes. It will all equal out when you file your returns. If they do have to retro any of your income though keep a good eye on it. In 2001 (Prior to all the damn BK's and givebacks) I had 7 checks dated the same. After they did audits they kept discovering that they had shortchanged me. I did my own research as well and had an accounting of what I was owed down to the penny.

I doubt very much that will happen to you guys but make sure you keep an account of all your time worked.

Just wanted to put out there that DL announced their Earnings this morning. $1.4 billion for the Quarter. Highest in any airlines history i believe for a Q.  With that came profit sharing of 400 + mil total so far for the first and second Q.  Now thats a chunk.  If everyone made the same it would come out to $5000 per employee so far.
So if this company wants some satisfied Union Members, then they need to step up to the plate.

Didn't you guys just ratify an agreement at 80 or 90 something %? I would say that speaks to you being satisfied. Don't expect the company to give you much else- they think you're happier than pigs in sh it.

JCBA...not the recent one. Forgot to mention that sorry. Yes i think the majority is relatively happy!

Yes the majority of US Ramp is happy being paid less than Delta, United, and Southwest even though it is the largest airline and will probably have profits that surpass Delta. The US mngt is on cloud 9 that this TA went through.

I get that, but why offer more if you guys showed how happy you are with what was just offered? I don't think you'll see any more until 2017 at the earliest.

Not everyone, I think we should have landed in the middle to high twenty four range for starters but we did get the scope and if the union stands on that it's like a ace up the sleeve.

Also included in the agreement is a commitment to move quickly into combined negotiations for a contract that will benefit the employees of the largest carrier in the world. The first step in that process is to request from the National Mediation Board a Single Carrier Status for the two legacy airlines. This will be done through the Alliance. The NMB will then determine if a representation determination needs to be made through an election or if the joint filing for representation by the combined unions will be accepted fully and allow the negotiating process to begin without delay.

The two unions are in the process of working on an agreement to bring back furloughed AA agents before hiring off the street. They would get pay seniority only, if they came back before a jcba since they would be coming back as US employee.

Let's slow the roll, Charlie... while I can completely understand those furloughed AA agents wanting to come back even as an US agent, there appears to be some lack of attention to the hundreds of furloughed US FSAs who would desire to go back to their home station, even while being an AA agent.  For example, in PHX I know we have agents displaced from SNA, LAS, AUS, ELP (not as sure about the last two), and probably others where AA FSAs work those stations. All I hear in this forum and the recently approved CBA is how furloughed AA agents will be able to be utilized within the US system, but nothing as it relates to furloughed US agents.  Are there any plans to provide reciprocity to those furloughed US agents?

There are only 4 stations where AA has ramp and US doesn't.  JFK  SJU  AUS  SAT.   US has quite a few that AA does not.

You can be absolutely sure that if there is any deal that comes out it will be reciprocal.

But here's a gray area... let's say AA has an opening in a station in which US also has operations, should we first hire off the street or make that available to furloughed US agents?  Personally, I don't see much different if a station has just one represented group (US in PHX and AA in AUS) vs. both represented groups are in the same station (US and AA in DFW).  If a position is open, and plans are to hire off the street, then those positions should be available to either furloughed (or transfer) agents first from the other group, as it is just a matter of time before we are all one airline and work group.

I don't know the US East furlough situation very well, but I am sure there are some who would desire to transfer to JFK, SAT, AUS and SJU.  Just curious... does AA agents handle IAH, ELP, STL, DSM, BNA or OMA ramp?  Is there an available list of current stations being staffed by AA agents?
