Always gotta look at leverage.  Unfortunately, the IAM negotiators mortgaged future leverage by going straight to cross utilization and bypassing even a fence agreement.  The company can tap into those synergies immediately and get a "Two for One".  Anyone thinking that the AGC's are correct and that joint talks will be a walk in the park with money tossed to the TWU and IAM is in wonderland.  If I'm the company, I honestly don't see any reason to even give a dime more without getting more concessions from the IAM.  But with the health care concession already in hand, not sure what else the IAM would be willing to cough up to get the hubs another $1 raise.  The company knows it has the TWU whose members are dying and begging for a joint contract.  So the company knew it needed to do the 'dip' in scope down to 1 flight a day because it knew it could raise that to 15+ flights a day since that would be a gain for the TWU.  The company is no fool.  Losers in all of this......small stations if there is a joint contract.   TWU if there isn't.
Lets all stand up and give a rousing round of applause for the return of Mr Negative himself. The sky is falling and there are no places left to run. The great and constant Mr Timothy Nelson.

Even one day without his illustrious presence is just not the same. Welcome back Tim. So glad to still have you here.

I think EVERY one in IAM Leadership should resign and install Tim as the Dictator, since he knows it all, knows it better than the guys who negotiated it and know the intent.

Tim is the all knowing, and yet he cant buy an election on over 20 years!

so, you really wouldnt care if your union agreed that your work could be done by another subsidiary? Would you support the twu gigning that?
All i know is that the current leadership is going to suffer " Great Pains ".  When is the election all you pollyannas'?????
LMAO

You know normally I think it's classless and in poor taste to knock a guy for at least trying. But with all the things Tim was saying on here it becomes justified. Political contest or not is no reason not to take a higher road. And Tim can say that others did the same to him on certain websites and pages but I'm quite sure that it was Tim who fired the first salvo probably many many years ago. However he may feel about losing, the salt in the wound should not come unexpected.

Pat just wanted to say congratulations on your reelection. Obviously you do good work for your members and they recognized that and want to continue on with your services.
Good show.
Thanks, much appreciated.

I posted a while back that after the election results were in; I would wait to see concessionary posts from the candidates on this forum. Concessionary posts, that respected the outcome of the election and the memberships' choice. Concessionary posts that agreed to respect the memberships' wishes going forward and agree to work with the elected for the betterment of the membership. IMO... this is what distinguishes a candidate who is in it for the betterment of the membership from one who is in it for themselves. This expectation remains open.

The unity continues to build. During this past election, we witnessed some of the most blatant labor violations that our members have wver experienced. The leadership of the masses will continue to fight for the voices of our people to finally be heard again. A complete case of charges will be filed shortly and made public so that our members can be completely informed of the entire process.

The case will be presented to the intl first for their review and settlement for a rerun election. I dont anticipate that their arrogance will allow them to reason.

Then the case will be presented to the dol and a rerun election will be ordered. All positions plus all other positions will become up for grabs in 1.5 years and the masses will be able to quick change the entire 37 positions of the district with a fair election under dol guidance.

The actions of the district were so blatant that i am hopeful that the dol dismisses the leadership as well. The casework is being reviewed and will be posted on facebook's "iamvotingiam" site as well as this site.

The building of the masses continues. Now, many usairways members feel betrayed as well with the latest contract that pushes most items into transition talks.

Well ograc I think you just got the response to your expectation. Did ANYONE really expect something else? lol.

That Nelson rant sounded like a movie line from "V for Vendetta" Guy Faulks himself.

THE PEOPLE SHALL BE LIBERATED!!!!

LMAO! Actions speak louder than words. Very predictable response and reaction to the results of the election. I rest my case.

Hey I'm curious? When did Tim first come on the radar with you guys? I know about his AGW thing which was 10 years ago but has he been pulling this same crap even longer? Did he start that grand scheme of making his own union because he kept failing in the IAM?

I'm trying to get a psychological profile of the guy? He's a little difficult to figure out? I'm not sure if he's anti-union, anti-establishment, or maybe megalomaniacal?

And this is not meant to knock him. I really am curious?

We organized the ramp in 1995, he has been at since about 1991 or so.

So he has been like this for a long time.

He failed to gather enough cards in 1992 and then the company decimated the ramp since they were non-union.

He tried to sell his name list to the IBT for a job in 95.

So as you can see its been a long time.

There was another union he tried to start before that and it was "Fleet Service United", he tried to solicit for the IBEW on US property while they were already IAM.

It goes on for a years.
