Lets all stand up and give a rousing round of applause for the return of Mr Negative himself. The sky is falling and there are no places left to run. The great and constant Mr Timothy Nelson.Tim Nelson said:Always gotta look at leverage. Unfortunately, the IAM negotiators mortgaged future leverage by going straight to cross utilization and bypassing even a fence agreement. The company can tap into those synergies immediately and get a "Two for One". Anyone thinking that the AGC's are correct and that joint talks will be a walk in the park with money tossed to the TWU and IAM is in wonderland. If I'm the company, I honestly don't see any reason to even give a dime more without getting more concessions from the IAM. But with the health care concession already in hand, not sure what else the IAM would be willing to cough up to get the hubs another $1 raise. The company knows it has the TWU whose members are dying and begging for a joint contract. So the company knew it needed to do the 'dip' in scope down to 1 flight a day because it knew it could raise that to 15+ flights a day since that would be a gain for the TWU. The company is no fool. Losers in all of this......small stations if there is a joint contract. TWU if there isn't.
Even one day without his illustrious presence is just not the same. Welcome back Tim. So glad to still have you here.
