yep tulsa you were mislead by the twu AGAIN

Word is Tulsa management is telling mechanics not to show up to work tomorrow. What say you folks up in T town.

when ever you TWU ATD enthusiasts have no come back you throw the Owens, Schalk, JR, peterson and ken card out.
why don't you enthusiasts defend the concessionary history or better yet boast about the TWU ATD great accomplishments with their members.
how do you sell organizing the TWU when we have a non-union management contract at hand?
please sell us all on these instead of knocking everyone else.
stand up for this great union and speak of their greatness......... cricket.....cricket.....cricket...

I support the TWU as opposed to you and AMFA, because as Judge Lane’s two decisions make clear, everything the TWU said about the bankruptcy process turned out to be accurate and everything you and AMFA said about it turned out to be wrong. Had we followed you and the AMFA organizers’ advice on this site we would be under a term sheet, there would be no or a significantly inferior early out opportunity, and the amount of furloughs and outsourcing would be roughly triple what we are likely to experience. I support the TWU and not you or AMFA because the TWU managed to get through this bankruptcy without allowing (or the Court imposing) the elimination of all or most heavy overhaul or plant maintenance or the termination of the pension plan.

You’ve clearly stated that you believe the best course of action would have been to let the court abrogate our contract – and that is exactly what would’ve happened as it happened to the pilots - and then continue to negotiate while we worked and absorbed the additional lay offs and outsourcing allowed under the term sheet. We will see how that works for the pilots. You also seem to believe that the ongoing job action (if that’s what it is) will get the pilots what they want, but there’s no evidence that the NMB is considering a release, that the Company is prepared to back off its demands in the LBO, or that the creditors will let them if they are so inclined. I support the TWU rather than you or AMFA because it has never advocated a strategy designed to take me and my fellow workers over a cliff, with liquidation as the final act of defiance.

They've been asking for 12-16hrs OT for Saturdays and 12-16hrs OT on Sunday. I know some shops and hangars that have been on OT for at least 6 months straight. They've been making people go home due to them working so much OT and not taking enough time off.

again you TWU enthusiasts dodge the challenge of my statement . instead of knocking everyone defend what you say. Provide us with all the great facts and convince anyone reading this that the TWU ATD is the supreme union and all their great accomplishments they have achieved for their members. Can you do that without dragging anyone else into it? If you can't then just say so and I can respect that.

Shoot come to hangar 5 or 6 it's a ghost town we don't have jack going on no work hardly at all

Chuck, I'm trying to figure out what your challenge is. What we have for a contract is a blend of the 2003 TWU/AA agreement, the 2010 TA, and the companies March 22 2012 term sheet. I don't see where you claim we have a non-union management contract, what do you mean by that? We have a contract that was a TA ratified by the membership, we don't have a company term of employment with no safeguards for union members. I'm just not following what is eating at you....

really?
they are both huge concessionary agreements and the company has full reign in this contract to do what ever they want, hence a non-union contract. We have given up everything! Our job is not a career thanks for nothing. whats eating at me you ask, it is not just me, everyone is not happy. this is not isloated to me. dont believe me , do a survey

when i show my friends in the trades this new contract, they feel bad for me and shake their heads in disgust of my representation. they ask me, why did they let this happen?

The more i thought about your statement the more i realized how clueless you are. Your not "following what is eating me" MY CAREER as an AMT at under the TWU IS OVER, what part dont you understand!
I can parallel this by comparing the last 2 TWU ATD contracts with walmart. they are the largest employer in the country and they boast about it. But their employees are lowest paid and little to no benefits. We brag about being the largest employer (for now) and we are the lowest paid and have given up premium benefits with nothing in return.. what have we done to protect our careers and our benefits in the last 2 contracts? and yes it is a management contract.

tell me why I should be proud to be TWU?...........

"I support the TWU as opposed to you and AMFA"

realityck, you believe so strongly in the twu why must you support/post the twu from behind an alias?

GO AMFA!

Peggy,

Because he has more sense of security than you inept idiots that made the decision to throw all your information out there. Remember Bad Decisions Peggy.

You keep using security as a defense. Do you know anything about programming, hacking, leaving thumbprints everywhere you visit or post.? If I was a hacker I could have your IP, ISP, SSN, home address on Google maps, and DL # in less than 5 minutes. Your real name may save me 30 seconds. Why would anyone hack you? Your not worth it for real hacking. They wouldn't waste time on you when they can hack anyone they want. Hackers like a challenge and most aren't in it for small chump change. So Tync that excuse is getting very old and looks silly to anyone who knows anything about programming or coding. If you don't want Ken to know your name then that's one thing..everything else is just an excuse.
