WSJ: Delta, TPG Assessing Bids for American Airlines

I pray that DAL or USAir buys the assets it wants from AA in BK court and then staples your ass to the bottom of it's seniority list without any negoiations on the subject. How does occ seniority 4/1/2013 sound to you? Sounds fair and equitable to me.

Sounds good to me...... Glad to have a job!!!

I Love the way were supposed to be union brothers and sisters but when AA bought TWA the TWU treated us TWA employees like step children and gave us 4/10/2001 seniority. Thank You TWU garbage union hope u lose all your members and you go bankrupt.
Union brothers.......really? That hasn't happened ONCE during my tenure at AA. It's really pathetic!!!!!

The Kasher decision says otherwise but why let facts get in the way of hyperbole?

What, no mention of the fact the IAM and TWU went to binding arbitration?

There just doing it to muddy the water. Until there's paper its all BS

I'm not wishing bad Karma on anyone but remember when Pan Am went Bankrupt and Delta picked up the pieces. They rehired only a handful of exPan Am Employees. Delta will do the same to AA that AA did to ex TWA employees only a handful of employees will stay and the few that do get stapled. History repeats itself. Good luck To the thousands that will get kicked to the curb Mcdonalds and Publix is always hiring. I Love Karma. If this is not Karma I don't know what is.

Thanks for the karma.....but, Delta doesn't own us yet and people are already predicting the future. I wish I had your crystal ball.....maybe I'll hit the mega millions and the hell with the airline industry.

There are 3 companies Delta, Us Airways and TPG bidding for AA. The chances of Delta having Something to do with AA is 33.3%. It doesn't take a crystal ball. The writing is on the wall. Read It.

I don't think any entity has made a bid for AA at this point,,,, unless I missed something.

There can't be any bids until the 1113 plan has been rejected by creditors, I believe.

What you're seeing is a person doing his/her best to stir the pot and get people wringing their hands in fright because they don't understand the law.

No, you didn't miss anything. Even if others do bid for AA, that likely won't happen until sometime next year.

Nobody has yet explained why AA can't emerge from Ch 11 on its own terms despite every other legacy emerging from bankruptcy pursuant to their own plans of reorganization. Odds are, AA management will file its POR and exit from Ch 11 as a standalone airline.

If you had taken the time to read the article, it states "People familiar with the matter said Delta Air Lines Inc., US Airways Group Inc. and TPG Capital separately are studying bids for AMR Corp" That is a heck of a stretch, to go from that quote to an actual or eventual chance to AMR. There is a long way to go before there is a chance of that happening.
