So the ibt is lying then if you admit that there is no way to force the company to open the CBA before the amendable date.
PARK THEM FOR PARKER LETS SEE HOW FAST THEY GET TO THE TABLE LOL....Hmmmmm........Mr. 70 why are you wanting a response to a question that you already know the answer to? As far as I know there is nothing that "forces" the company into Section 6 negotiations. Have you ever heard of a company complain about the RLA or NMB "forcing" them to the negotiation table for any reason?
IBT says if they are elected they will get renegotiate the current US/IAM CBA.
HE'S BAACKMaybe you need to check your facts that idiot Jerry Glass was run out of America West before he came to you guys we delt with him during most of our initial contract. all the union worker at awa told parker if Gerry Glass keeps his job in the new company there will be problems like he has never seen. the guy is a total idiot. and we broke his glass house and sent him packing once allready.
SOMETIME WELL AFTER MARCH 2009.....RLA DELAYING VERBAGE WILL BE USED TO THE MAX.If there is an election and the Teamsters Union is certified as your representative, you will work under the bankruptcy-bargained Machinists agreement only until such time as the Teamsters Union concludes bargaining a new agreement that seeks to improve on both the Machinists and Teamsters agreements
SOMETIME WELL AFTER MARCH 2009.....RLA DELAYING VERBAGE WILL BE USED TO THE MAX.
AND YOU'RE GOING TO OPEN THE MACHINISTS CONTRACT??WHAT OABOUT FINISHING YOUR OWN??Meanwhile, there seems to be no consideration for the America
West aircraft maintenance workers. It is now two years since
the terms and conditions of the mechanics’ contract became
amendable and there has been little progress on critical economic
and job security issues. We have worked hard to improve
our Company and position it for future success. But we are
being overlooked while management takes care of itself.
Seems like you are back peddling, the amendable date is not till 2009, ibt is saying they will force the company to renegotiate now.
That is what the ups box loader Andy Marshall is putting out on your web page for 104
so where you guys been for some what....ten years now and no new in-house??• The outsourcing of America West Airlines
(AWA) heavy maintenance took place in
1995, prior to the Teamsters being certified
as the AWA mechanics’ representative.
!
Come on now you can post it here. If not then our discussion is complete. I have put more than reasonable effort in this discussion to attempt to answer your question.
The Teamsters Union is committed to
renegotiating the mechanic and stock
clerk contracts upon the declaration of
a representative from the National
Mediation Board (NMB). As your certified
representative, the Teamsters will negotiate
an amalgamated agreement from the
two existing contracts.
The Railway Labor Act states that
the union has the right to file a “Section 6â€
notice with the NMB to commence
bargaining on behalf of the newly created
craft and class at a merged airline. When
a union does this, the company is bound
by law to negotiate.{/quote]
