Seniority is a thing of the past, you don't know how they are going to do the RIF because all of the rules are gone. Remember, we gave them away at high noon yesterday.

The point is that some on my dock can cause churn at TUL or the system. But as I understand the situation,round one is sometime in 1996.

He is referencing seniority in order to bump to a junior station or a junior guy. We do not know how AA will use the bumping since we have no language to cover it. The company can use the same line the TWU has been using for years on its own members. "They can do that brother" sound familiar????

The company has already started applying its new bidding rules in SJU. And the new rules violate the principle of seniority in favor of what the company wanted which was putting "the best people where they wanted them". So if two people have the exact same qualifications whether its taxi, hot bond, sheet metel, avionics that management feels they need then yes the senior man gets the spot but a Jumior man may get day shift over a senior man if the company deceides they need certian qualifications for that shift and they decided to send the Junior man to get trained.

Dont count on it. The company stated that their new rules will minimize churn. Senior guys will find they have no place to go while Junior guys remain on the clock. Its not like we havent seen this to a limited degree before but now the doors are wide open for the company. The only real difference between us and Delta is we pay dues and get paid a lot less.

No Bob they do not... I printed a copy of the TA and put it on my workbench with all the TBD items highlighted and no one looked at it that I know of..I really didn't realize 74% of TULE had their heads in the sand so deep and will look around my shop differently tomorrow..
