WHERE IS THE "ME TOO" NOW?

According to the APFA Hotline Message below AA reduced the concessions for the APFA by approximately 34 percent less .The Company moved from its original ask of $230 million annually to one of $168 million.

Have you seen a 34% reduction in Mechanic and Related Concessions?
Where is the "ME TOO" clause when you really need it?

According to AA, the LBO presented to the FAs contains concessions of $195 million, or 17% of the total FA costs, so according to AA, the me-too gave them the same three point improvement (17% concessions instead of 20% from the term sheet).

Don't know where Glading got the $168 million figure - maybe she padded the numbers to make it look like the APFA was very effective in negotiating with AA; maybe she really wants a yes vote.

So either Glading is telling a lie, or AA Management is telling a lie.

I wonder which of the two would do such a thing?

If management was going to lie about the size of the concessions, I would expect management to minimize the size of the concessions.

If APFA was really able to reduce the concessions to 14.6% from 20%, then AA would reduce the concessions for the pilots and all TWU groups as well, and as you point out, that ain't happening. That leads me to think that Glading erred (I don't think she intentionally lied). Sometimes math is hard.

She's a union president all they know is to be misleading to make themselves look good

DL's mechanics are non-union, they didnt agree to any concessions, the company did as they pleased.

That is basically what happened when the original 20% was asked, When it was eventually lowered to 17% the TWU said that was our "me too" clause.

Key LBFO Points:
LBFO contains approximately 34 percent less in concessions than American’s Term Sheet. The Company moved from its original ask of $230 million annually to one of $168 million.

34% less in concessions

I ran across this and the link is below it. What if they vote it in and we don't.

Union President Laura Glading told members, however, that the proposal is better than the 1113 term sheet that the airline proposed as part of its bankruptcy restructuring plan.

Yep, and they plan to retire as well and that adds extra funds to their purse. It would go something like this Buck. Add what they have paid into their prefunding, add what VC they have remaining and what they have accrued for next year, add un-used sick time at $25.00 per day X 2, and last but not least add Section 1114 refund ruling of the companies prefunding too....So YES. $100,000.00 could easily be obtained by this couple...

Having to correct myself here. I made a bit of an error, what I was told about the sick time is you won't get the $25.00 per day if you take the Stand Instead and then retire, because basically you would have resigned....Sorry for my oversight

Every chance they get, we take it in the back! I will not be volunteering anything, much less to leave!

I just voted NO to volunteering to more concessions.
after the 2003s concessionary deal, AA still got the numbers reduced like they wanted......AA will do always what they want to do, and the TWU will do what AA tells it to do.

Stewart said lately the environment has grown dark, but "working there, it's been a good job. l haven't left, you know, it's been a good provider."
