Isn't it $39500 x 2 ?

Yep, and they plan to retire as well and that adds extra funds to their purse. It would go something like this Buck. Add what they have paid into their prefunding, add what VC they have remaining and what they have accrued for next year, add un-used sick time at $25.00 per day X 2, and last but not least add Section 1114 refund ruling of the companies prefunding too....So YES. $100,000.00 could easily be obtained by this couple...

Is it Blackman and his wife. That would be the only way a couple could live off a hundred grand and pay for medical. Unless your old enough for social security, medicare and have a huge 401 its not worth it. Without a hobby or turning down your hearing aids you gotta listen and be around your wife 24/7. Dadgum 24/7 with the Mrs.,that alone is worth voting no.

Easy guys. Mr. Blackman's wife pasted away last year. Have some respect when you talk about someone else on this board.

Sorry for his loss, but it doesn't take a guy with 70 years with the company to be the only one to walk away with over $100,000.00 in hand... B)

I found out there is a husband and wife that are gonna take the funds and go and between the 2 of them they are looking to walk away with over $100,000.00.... How's it going at your station, any married couples there? How many members at your station are looking to take the funds and go?

Yeah, and there wouldn't be any taxes taken out of any of that right? $100K Pfffffffffftt

Which one is more desperate the company or the international trying to sell this so called TA.

It's a shame that both are ready and willing to screw over its employees/members.

Historically speaking, at UAL, we were in the same boat and said YES to many more concessions than what you are faced with now. It angered, frustrated, and disappointed many of us for a long time. In the end, however, most of us that were left remained employed and we are finally on the road back to where we were. We will never recoup our losses, but at the same time, we are not the only craft, industry, or country experiencing financial difficulties. We all got through this, as will you.

My best to you all. It is a sad day when any of us have to go through the turmoil of this "choice".

Heard today that 200 mechanics in MIA will be exposed to a rift. That takes it to about 1993 sen.

Speaking of FLAK!

You have to wait for the Teamsters win the mechanics representation before you can suck up a Business Agent position.

What makes you think I'm not already one? Maybe I don't even work for AA and I work for IBT International. Maybe I am here evaluating Anomaly.

That was a lewd reaching comment Buck....Even for you but I guess I have grown to expect it so carry on.

The truth is that not a damn one of you had the balls to take a stand and fight.
