When Would Be A Good Time

if there is a strike, just how quick will usair take to replace the workers since there is a stupid stress test that they must pass? this stress test that new hires must take should actually be revised to include this point: how stressed are you as a result of mgmt stealing your money then giving it away to the five clowns who used to work as so called ceo and cfos!

I'll go with never.

You people complain about the actions of management and then talk of doing stuff that's equally childish. You talk of how management should 'grow some balls' and 'step up and be the bigger man' yet you act the same way. Before you criticize others, take at look at yourselves.

As long as the Unions DO NOT AGREE with the Company on these massive paycuts, The Unions have this leverage, Should the judge impose permanent cuts on the workers. Now the Unions must let it be known should US seek permanent cuts then they will use this option.

Unless the company already has people ready to replace workers . How fast do they think all these people will be cleared with fingerprints and backround checks .
Or will the company circumvent security just like they do with the use of the kiosks.

A strike makes absolutely no sense. If you feel you need to strike to prove a point then you're as scared and full of self doubt that you accuse those that are willing to listen are. Before you choose to commit career suicide you might want to know what you're worth on the open market. It might not be what you think you are.

well said!

I personally don't think a strike is the answer, although some of my coworkers....at this point with the higher health care costs, unrealistic paycuts (hopefully this with be neg.), the thought of not being able to pay the mortgage , the car payment ,or being unable to support their families...and possible outsourcing...most seem to feel that they have nothing to loose...they are an angry group...this frightens me....emotions are running very high and unstable.

Well, if all you want to do is quit working coach, then quit, and stop working.

Why wait for a strike?

Yeah, that is a good point, your ignorance is causing a casual reader to assume that you will have the ability to strike anytime soon (if ever), and that is causing further booking away of passengers leery of travel problems, so...

Get a clue Coachrow.

U is in the corporate equivelent of massive organ shutdown, on life support machines, with a quack doc in charge of care. A strike would be the equivilent of "pulling-the-plug" and just hasten the end a few months earlier.

Replacing U employees with scabs? By the time Lakefield could even start something like that, the Sheriff would be knocking at the door.
