What's the word on the equity?

I don't know about anywhere else but in Tulsa we still got guys hanging on that were supposed to be gone in December and February. Everyone who was forced to go before they wanted to should be filing grievances and getting paid. These guys actually think AA can't do without them. We have heard they will be gone by September but we also heard they would be gone by February, then April, etc.
Out in my hanger from what I've seen/heard is that the only early-outs that are left are not quite 55 yet. Rumor mill has it that they were "allowed" to stay so they could keep flight privileges...

I know of two individuals who were supposedly asked to stay longer. Both are well over 60 and could have gone if they had wanted to in February. These are the two that think AA cannot function without them. One guy I know who is in his 70s got to delay his date twice by asking the manager if he could do it. Another who is 64 (who had more seniority than the 70 year old) was told he had to go in December. Typical stuff happened in the 5 and 5 that we were sold out for. Time and time again our livelihoods are peddled away so a bone can be thrown to a certain demographic that can swing the vote. This is all condoned and encouraged by our wonderful TWU international and it has worked every time. The term "I got mine brother." is used often on this blog. In regard to the early outs it should be "I sold you out to get mine brother and now I'm gonna get some of yours too."

I'm hearing that on or around the 16th of July the TWU is going to make an announcement, that the early outs and retirees will now be included in our equity payout - further diluting it. So, they get their going away money after YES voting us this POS contract to live under for six years! This small number of very vocal, two faced, greedy bastards apparently convinced the equity committee, that they deserve even more than they have already received or are about to receive. Just when you figure it couldn't get any worse. The TWU leadership doesn't have a problem giving your money away.
The final decisions were pretty much nailed down yesterday. So, were your sources correct in saying early outs and retiree's were getting part of the pie? Nothing mentions it in this posting.

The EO package had nothing to do with "your" equity share value.. It was a program to reduce manpower so the young employees still maintained employment and were not laid off.. The EO's had worked under the concessionary contract for approximately 10 years or so.. The equity share pay out should be available to the EO's on a percentage basis.. Current employees should receive 100% "piece of the pie" and EO's should be reduced by the percentage of years removed from payroll.. Fair and Equitable..

I know your stance, Jager, but my question was...did they? I see no evidence of that from the posting.

Looks like another nail in the twu coffin:
"the Committee re-affirmed the outline of the draft Plan that was described in the draft Power Point presentation, with some minor adjustments. The Presidents Council approved the recommendation of the Equity Committee."

The way I read it is, if no changes were made to this eligiblilty, Then EO's are out..

But the "Exclusions Apply" is another TWU anomaly

"The general rule for eligibility to participate in the distribution is: an
employee was in a TWU represented craft/class and active employee
on payroll or approved leaves of absence on both the date of
American’s filing its petition for bankruptcy (November 29, 2011) and
the closing date for eligibility (July 26, 2013) Exclusions Apply "

So our choice is to shut up and pay these guys what they don't have coming or they tie everyone's money up in court? That sounds like extortion to me. I don't know about you but I feel like I have sacrificed enough for others. When does it stop?
