What's the word on the equity?

I read it all. Again, I understand if you took the EO or SIS before the final date of July 26th you are not eligible. But, as it clearly states, if you can say "yes" to either 1 or 2 you are eligible.

1. In a TWU represented craft/class and on payroll or approved leave on 11/29/11 and 7/26/13 MET
2.Did not accept a voluntary early-out or stand-in-stead position Irrelevant because you were on payroll in 1.

So, you met one of the two criteria, all that is needed!
Then we wonder why Steve Luis called us a bunch of cavemen!

AANOTOK. You are putting a 2 next to the second part of criteria 1. It's a two parter.
Disagree, if I retire, leave, whatever after 7/26/13 I get equity. That is what it basically states.
If you are on payroll thru those dates, you are entitled. After those dates the formula doesn't matter.

Disclaimer...now if you took the EO or SIS prior and it hasn't been granted, then all bets are off. Maybe that is where I'm getting confused...I'm stating that if I leave tomorrow, but have not submitted anything in writing or I'm not on a list, then I will leave with equity.

I agree that if you retire tomorrow you still get it. But if you took the early out it seems to me that you can not answer yes to criteria 1.

Yes, and we didn't want another 6 year concessionary contract shoved up our ass, lose our pension, lose our Retiree Medical after paying into it for twenty years, see I,A, & B checks and OH outsourced etc. Did you think somehow you would be the only workers to come out unscathed and continue to collect a benefit that costs them a quarter of a billion a year, a benefit that most companies get away with dumping without even going to BK Court? Not saying its right, saying that the same people you put in office in places like Kansas helped make this the new American reality. Enjoy your retirement, odds are mechanics who are working today will never experience the luxuries you have enjoyed and are complaining about losing.
Point taken! But let me point out that those still working have the option of changing all that!----- Retirees do not!! If those still working do, or not, is up to them!!! I never said life was easy! And just for the record, I don't live in Kansas! And I didn't vote for Obama! I"m afraid this Obamacare is going to bit us all in the tail feathers!-----If it's so damn good, why are all your politicians opting out of it? Even the Teamsters don't like it! ----Speaking of Unions, I'll bet you that Jim Little and his family, will also opt out!!! (With Obama's blessing!)

Bob, by the why! When has a medical plan, bought and paid for, by the membership, through the "Pre- paid program" under contract, ------ considered a "luxury"?----- And isn't it just a little hypocritical suggesting that the politics of the mid west have anything to do with what the membership is going through now, when this membership is tacking advantage of fact that the seniority issues are no longer a problem in combining two Airlines? I'm referring to the Bond/ McCaskill bill, which, by the way, was put into place as a direct result of the actions of this same membership?

Just curious as I have no dog in this fight.
Exactly how much more will active employees receive if the EO's don't get equity?
IMHO, you guys n'gals may be squabbling over pennies.
Does anyone have the numbers?
Thanks,

I am fleet, but saw posted here a few weeks ago that a mechanic stood to lose approx $3000.

Here is my guesstimate....

Lets assume on average, every TWU member gets $12,000. I believe 2500 total took the eo. So, you would need to reduce those eligible by $30M. If the remaining 23,000 members shared in that pain, it would mean a reduction of approx $1300.

I do have a dog in the fight. I am done making (non Tax deductible) charitable contributions off of checks that the TWU international writes. The early outs (God Bless Them) already got their share of the pie.
