MetalMover, tisk tisk! Stop the egging on with comments like your last one. I too hope you guys get all the above and more. I will now vacate the M&R forum and let you folks discuss your wants and needs. But MetalMover c'mon, someone has to be the first to stop the nonsense. Carry on!MetalMover said:As far as the wage portion of negotiations go, let's not include it in this discussion because the company already stated what their offer is regarding pay...Delta + 7%. Now, unless the association is willing to go for more than 7%, that issue is a moot point.
The association CANNOT take credit for Delta +7%....They can take credit for anything OVER that. So the pro association cheerleaders cannot thank the TWU for that agreement. But they will anyway.
I would like the two vacation weeks back....
I want to see a realistic and substantial shift differential.
Of course I would like my pension back unfrozen and retiree medical as well. However, those are the two big items that the company has wanted for years. I do not expect it back nor do I expect the association to fight for it.
I would like an annual cap on medical premium increase.
10 holidays back at double time and a half. However I would settle for double time as this would be my GIVE portion of the customary GIVE and TAKE negotiations.
GEO pay.
An increase in license pay. The job is becoming more stressful as we are being held more and more accountable for every I we dot and T we cross.
Now I will wait for the PRO ASSOCIATION non mechanics to reply to my post about how I am foolish for thinking I will get all this stuff back,,,
Agreed. The longer this thing drags out the more cards that will be turned in as long as there isn't a 2 year waiting period. This could work in our favor like it did in 2001.Vortilon said:All they need to do is restore our AMFA contract with adjustments to the pay.
You needed not respond. You know exactly who I am referring to with that comment.AANOTOK said:MetalMover, tisk tisk! Stop the egging on with comments like your last one. 7 weeks vacation, 1 1/2 times training off shift, 14 days accrued sick time per year, double over time, longevity pay, penalty hour, uniforms back to 11 sets, uniform laundering, guaranteed 4 hours early call in on late call, remove CC interviews, night shift retention premium, and so on. Did I forget any other biggies? That contract has been so long ago that the TWU forgot all about it.Vortilon said:All they need to do is restore our AMFA contract with adjustments to the pay.
Holidays, but again, you know, I hate to be such a downer and I kn ow you guys would like to just ignore me, but in reality, you are all dreaming again. Thinking that some how our representatives actually give a rats arse and as we all know they don't. All they care about is their own cushy deals. Thus, we will get nothing. Most of us will roll on out to retire never having seen a good contract other then 2 years of 01. that's it.1AA said:7 weeks vacation, 1 1/2 times training off shift, 14 days accrued sick time per year, double over time, longevity pay, penalty hour, uniforms back to 11 sets, uniform laundering, guaranteed 4 hours early call in on late call, remove CC interviews, night shift retention premium, and so on. More allowed off at a time.
In addition to what was posted above.
The company is offering up Delta +7% lets see the strength of the almighty ASSociation can get something more than that...
The way the agreement is written the only way you will not end up in the IAMNPF is to reject the entire contract that will have us going into it, or somehow get the TWU and IAM to agree that the letter they signed is not binding. The way the letter is written the agreed upon objective between the TWU and IAM is to get us all in the IAMNPF, and it that cant be done, in other words if the company refused a cheaper pension plan than they have now, or we reject the entire contract because thats in there, then they will continue to try and keep those currently in the IAMNPF in the plan.scorpion 2 said:I don't want any shape or form of the IAMNPF.
