What i said was it is a sad but true fact that the IAM has a responsibility to defend these hoods to the best of thier ability. And that is reguardless of thier position they take publicly about it. When they took dues from these guys that became thier job no mater what thier involvement and or position, they have to fight to keep thier jobs. Now, that said I like a lot of others hope they fail at it, but being a steward, I know that they HAVE to no matter how they feel about it. That can sometimes be the unpleasant side of representation. No one can say that there is any love lost between me and the IAM but I do understand the fact that they have to defend the jobs of these individuals, nor can I hold that against them. That doesn't mean they have to provide bail or any kind of support.

700, your voluminous posts over the years frequently are about you and your sock puppetry for the unions. This time the unions screwed up, having to resort to violence and intimidation.
Lets hope that these 25 goons get (1) fired (2) denied unemployment (3) indicted, tried and convicted (4) never work in the airline business again.
And if IAM is responsible, that they get sued, and damages are awarded to the guys hurt.
And the silence from the IAM is deafening.
My god, if someone from management so much as sneezed the wrong way, you would be on here caterwauling and putting on a full dramatic show.
Unions are dying all across america, if you can't figure out why, then you are part of the problem.

I'm sure the witnesses in the room would be enough to fire these people right away. But, the company will probably make sure they get enough "evidence", since the union will probably try to protect their jobs.

I'm sure that when the interrogations by the police start, some of these thuggies will be singing like birds. Anything for a plea bargain.
In some cultures, the only honorable thing for the perpetrators to do would be to commit suicide, as they have disgraced themselves and their families.

I agree, and that's one of the reasons the statement the IAM is supposed to make today will be interesting.
If the IAM denies or tries to protect certain people from the beginning it'll come back to bite them in the ass. If I were the Police I would focus on the FSA that entered the room but didn't actively participate. Let them know that they're just as responsible as the guys that threw punches and are facing the same prosecution, and I guarantee that some of them sing. Their jobs are probably gone, they may get put in jail, their wives are pissed, and the IAM is going to protect the ring leaders? Come on, I guarantee some of them talk.
The IAM needs to immediately remove the AGC and all LL1776 Officers involved.

I imagine there were some of these guys that really didn't want to be there but the peer pressure made them do it. There will be some sobbing and pleading for mercy. Fingers will be pointing.
