US Air to Address Creditors on Takeover plan

According to AA, UA will have a 10% RASM disadvantage to the new AA, DL, and US basesd on AA's successful emergence... so US might get one more chance to go after UA since the chances of UA being able to sustain a 10% cost disadvantage to all 3 of its network competitors would be rather small.

I understand that ol' Douggie Boy in gung ho for (another) wedding. After all, his airline is the ugly duckling of the industry and everyone else has already paired off.

But shouldn't he get his own house in order before trying to add a roommate? US is still so dysfunctional it basically operates as two separate airlines. How would that mess benefit anyone at AA?

Interesting...

Desperate?

At least we have a house. The AA house is on fire and burning fast...I am happy working for a dysfunctional ugly duckling with a roof over my head than working for a house thats on fire and the roof blown off.

Perhaps you didn't work for US or HP during one or more of their multiple trips through BK?
.
I said months ago that people on here needed to give AA the time and the space to reorganize - in the same way that every other network airline has done. Network airlines have been 4 for 4 in reorganizing in BK over the past 10 years.... the best emergence rate ever.
.
But a whole lot of people - led by a few people in the media who have the microphone and the keyboard - have been hellbent on trying to examine every scenario except the one that AA and its people are most entitled to - which is a reorganization on their own without interference from outside sources.

USair doesn't even have labor piece between USair and america west employees, how is adding unhappy AA employees going to make things better?

APA Pres Bates has just met with Parker and US union leadership in PHX, something should be announced pretty soon.

What is going to be announced? What can US offer APA that is so great if they can't even deal with their own situation? I think it is a bit shady being told by one group what is good for another when we can all see a total train wreck coming.
