Heard AA sprung for meals after denying anyone their holiday off and there were no takers.  Also,as a result, DFW manager vowed to break Local 591.  Is this accurate?

no there were no takers and YES all three shifts turned it down. san greco was not very happy. life in dfw should get interesting next week. just a hunch but the manager the has a truth issue, as in cant tell it...... cant comment on the break 591 issue but it would not surprise me at all. no faith at all in local management.

If management at DFW wanted to mess with the DFW mechs, they should transfer in about 100 mechs and cut the OT to zero.

Considering management is looking at cutting heads, and reducing OT - sounds like a recipe for success.

Sangreco (sp) was warned already that he would get the aircraft shoved up his a$$, his response was "I have a big a$$, with a lot of room".

Note all the AMTs helping themselves to the Thanksgiving dinner.

Sounds like the manager from DFW is just the type of guy we need to get all our guys on the same page.  :D

This ain't 2005.

Gee, I hope the TV's and laptops don't get turned off.

The 'I Got Mine' mentality unfortunately trumps any type of solidarity at the TWU I know!  jmho!

Well I guess we need to work harder at educating them to the fact that what they think they got is half what they should be getting.

It's too bad the company/twu decided to do away with the locals, that way there could be some sort of dialogue between labor and management, now you have the biggest IGM station with union protection.

This is a classic case of no accountability, for either management or labor.

Speaking of Tulsa, I'm sure they're in mourning after seeing how much food was wasted at DFW as I never saw them turn down a free meal.

Why the hard on for DFW  A/C Maintenance?  For the most part, line AMTs are not factory workers.  When the work is done, or in between jobs - watching TV or getting on a laptop to catch up on CBTs or whatever - is perfectly acceptable.  If something needs to be done, the crew chief knows right where to look.

Welcome to PIT.

Except we gave up full meals years ago.

Give my boys a box of donuts or a slice of plain cheese pizza, and they'll vote yes for anything.
