Arrogance.

Association?
Not approved by NMB.
Not approved by membership.

But the self seeking arrogant pricks just operate as if it's already done.
Who the hell do they think they are?

Maybe if the USAir mechs and the AA mechs were the highest paid and if we came out as good the other unions did coming out of BK, and the iam and twu said the alliance was a great idea then it probably is, BUT the two worst contracts and the twu with holding part of my equity I have no reason to believe that these "unions" should represent me.

If they puul this off without giving us a ballot, we need to organize a system wide airport protest against our own union, and get a huge media blitz in their face!

Although this idea is a good idea, did you forget where you work?

This is AA the home of the I've Got Mine, no matter what the TWU or AA has done to us the same Ole story has prevailed.

Whether it's been to vote the contract down or sign an AMFA card to rid ourselves of the Company union, can you tell us, Just how would you go about doing that?
Guys here at AA won't even give up a weeks worth of O/T, or a chance for a sandwich or a slice of Pizza. They flock to the TWU guys to get a T-shirt.

Your fellow workers in T-Town are going to be phased out as AA brings in new aircraft and yet they still believe the TWU is going to save them. Make it happen in Tulsa first, before you want the Line guys to go out and fight. and conduct a protest.

The Line has lead the way now it's you and your fellow T-Town guy's to do it.

Wow, #### about the "I've got mine" attitude and then express it in the same post. Not a problem. I have 1983 senority, "I've got mine" too.

Always has to be some naysayer with a negative attitude about why something will not work, or some lame excuse not to try something. You are just as much the problem as anyone! Keep the division and blame going, it helps us all.

There is no such thing as gravity, the whole world sucks, that is what holds us on the planet surface.

Truth is the media blitz and protest about how unAmerican this process is should happen before the decision not after. But whatever you say.
Good Luck

This is one of the reasons that tell me this alliance thing may get forced upon you guys.  I truely do hope you guys get a vote.  Aside from the AMFA stuff and the non-union threats flying from the alliance folks, I just simply hope you guys get to rather the membership wants the alliance or not. I too have noticed how the 2 unions are doing business going forward as the alliance is already in existence, this is more than likely the results of the "closed door meetings" that the TWU and IAM has had with the NMB, they know something that nobody else knows OR they are just trying to influence the NMB to push this thru.  The NMB is spending entirely too much time with working out this class and craft.  If this alliance thing was not going to go thru then they would not be spending the NMB's time and efforts for this long.  The final question at the end of all this is rather there will a vote and who the hell will be conducting this alliance vote...

It better not happen, but I have seen sooooo many deals made by these unions, the company and even the NMB that I will not just believe that it won't happen.  You guys better all hope and pray you get ballots and you guys better also hope the ballots are sent to you from the NMB and not the TWU/IAM trying to get this alliance crap to go thru.  Yesterday just marked the 15th week since the filing.  Never has the NMB ever took so long on an SCS decision, never to my knowledge.  The NMB would never spend this much time with it if they didn't know it was moving forward with it.  Again it all comes down to who will be conducting this vote, but I still say, hopefully there will be a vote, and it's done by the NMB...

The only way to get the media involved is to have a bunch of union members go to the Republican National Committee and say how bad the union is representing its members, especially with the twu being a huge Obama supporter. Foxnews news would run with that. Think of all the businesses that jump on that campaign. The twu could possibly be the downfall of organized labour.

I disagree. I think Union members protesting their own union at the airports would not only bring out the media, but a great oppurtinity to shame the arrogant, unaccountable, fools.

How do you shame the shameless?

Why don't you get the Tulsa guys to start and make the news there and the papers, That is AA biggest base and where the TWU has its most support isn't it?
Get them to show the Line guys that they have had enough as well.

The Line guys have tried to remove the TWU over and over but we can't seem to get the Tulsa guys to join in. We have gotten AMFA cards signed over and over but Tulsa has not joined the party. Neither have the title 2 guys, but we are ALL in this together.

I have always defended the attack on the tulsa guys saying we need to all work together. It's not about line vers base. But for an idea to come out of Tulsa which will require the line guys  to lead the way again, come on. If I am right you were a big supporter back in the day but now not so much. WHY is that?

As far as your 1983 time with the company its more than just AA time its something that you as a Blue blood AA employee have been taught. IGM is a way of life here at AA. Your statement it proves that..

How is this supposed to advance your desire to get AMFA in there? Calling out someone who (from what I've read) has spent his own time/money to get AMFA as your representative? You're doomed if this is your strategy.

Bringing amfa here to AA, has not only been his challenge but many other guys throughout the system as well. Many others, including myself,  have spent our own money for at least 16 yrs. Traveling from city to city, mailings, ordering of T-shirts, jackets, hats as well. I am not calling him out,  but I am saying to him that he should get the Tulsa guys involved first before the rest of us spend our money only to watch the t-town guys support the TWU.

The Line station guys have signed each an every time, while tulsa has been a strong hold for the TWU and was supportive of the IBT. There have been so many from the system who started out supporters of AMFA but have given up as time has gone on because of them.

Line mechanics brought info as well as food to the Tulsa guys time after time. Still we to tell them over and over the same thing. If they Don't want this association to become our representatives then have them show it.

From your comment you don't even work here at AA , now do you?

No, I dont.

Nevermind, I seriously apologize for even mentionong the idea.
I don't have time to fight with people.
I don't have time to save people from themselves.
They all have a savior, and his name isn't TWU Informer, or Dave

I didnt Cause this problem.
I can't Control this problem.
And I can't Cure this problem.

Same reason, I stoppped putting effort into card signing.

I am not afraid, and the TWU/IAM will as always do as they want!

No big deal really.

Been that way for 31 years for me, and I am not really that bad off relatively speaking.

Take hart, for some reason that I don't understand, some of our own M&R supporters, dont understand to don't throw rocks to their friends. Save the rocks for the TWU and IAM supporters.
