Why did the IAM not allow a vote to go ahead with the planners, and instead got the NLRB to accrete them without a vote? Why did the planners not get to vote on their contract? Why did 19 workgroups get thrown into 2 classifications, when none of the jobs do the same thing? Why do planners not have automatic recall like the rest of the people in the M & R contract?

I don't think the company is perfect, I hardly think the IAM is perfect, and I certainly don't think any other union would be helpful. Things like the above are why so many are fed up with big labor in general. Especially when so many DL141 are losing jobs and taking paycuts, and then watching lists get printed with union leadership taking pay raises. It makes many feel just as disillusioned with our representation as we are with management.

a person only makes false accusations until they are proven to be false..and i don't think any one else here has discounted the persons information.i see others skipping around the issues...but no one has directly confronted what 700uw has stated.
and what the hells the difference who is making these accusations if they are true and correct?if they are not true and correct,then supply accurate and timely information to refute these so called "inaccuracies".

I have been working in CLT for 20 years and this is new to me. All i know is the AGW is Making progress in organizing Fleet Service Agents, and the IAM will stop at nothing to keep the dues flow. Again, when 700uw makes unsubstantiated charges, anonymously, the burden is on him to provide dates, times, documents etc. to back up his claims.
 
Having been "expressed", I am very ready for a change of unions. The present one is only out for themselves, and dont seem to care about the dues paying memebers they represent. :angry:

I agree with you 100% on that one buddy. Problem is that there are not YET enough of us to revolt. Within the next year, Expressed stations will be the majority of the system. At that time our discussted voices will be heard. It is hard to get the sympathy of a Mainline guy still earning $20 an hour. As long as they are not affected, they could care less about us. Too bad the smaller stations did not have a person on the negotiaiting team to voice our concerns. They all knew that THEY would not be the ones working for a povery wage when the AX dropped.
I can only hope that at some time they get squeezed as we have.
