the IAM is mad at the back door deals at AA!

Funny if they didnt get screwed why did the US Congress pass a law to prevent what happened to the TWA employees in the future?

Why did the current President of the APFA come out and say it was wrong?

That had to do with the FA who were stapled not the mechanics or pilots

The TWA employees losing seniority is getting screwed.

They didn't lose sen unless they came to an AA city otherwise they kept 100% or 25 % depending on which city. Stl, mci 100% JFK lax mco tpa lax 25%. Better than nothing considering they were done capute! 100% company time which is used for vacations. They took the prime vacation spots.

Which is it?

You said they didnt lose seniority, yet you posted the employees at JFK LAX, MCO, TPA only got 25%.

My friends uncle was a mechanic at LAX and lost seniority and had to leave LAX as he was cut, yet he had over 30 years.

So everyone lost seniority.

I give up you have no clue what your talking about stay on us airways forum. Lax not only tea guys but AA guys got laid off . If he had 30 years he could have gone to stl or mci with his 30 years otherwise he had 7.5 years which is 25% again better than starting over

I know what I am talking about, and yes he had to go to MCI to keep his job, yet guys with less time at AA were still at LAX.

You talked out of both sides of your mouth, saying they didnt lose seniority, the but the truth is they did.

Its still against what unions stand for when member attacks member, and the TWU screwed the TWA employees, bottom line.

Done talking about this we will never agree. For the most part I usually agree with some if the post you put on here but I can't agree with you here. Twa was dead in the water and their employees would have list everything if AA hadn't bought them out! 700 you being an expert on every airline should know that whatever AA got out of twa is long gone . We have nothing to show for that ill advised purchase other than debt.

And you call your self a unionist?

I would NEVER have you negotiate, nor represent me when you feel its ok to disadvantage one group over another, no wonder why you let the TWU screw the former TWA employees.
You are truly clueless to compare our negotiated deal with Airtran mechanics to the AA deal with TWA.

The Airtran guys had options.
If they didn't like the deal they could have just voted no and gone to arbitration to decide it.

They agreed that what they were getting was better than moving a little down a list.

You weren't at the table trying to explain what the word dovetail means to you, and they were.

I will fly my union colors proudly while you just fly off at the mouth.

How many AirTran mechs were there?

Yep you have 588 planes and only three lines of check.

What is the total planes done in-house per year and what is outsourced?

We have 698 in service aircraft brainiac and has nothing to do with our SLI with Airtran or the definition of Dovetail.

Changing the subject is just admission that you lost the argument.

You said you would stand by your union.

And this is the link that stated 588 planes.

http://www.airfleets.net/flottecie/Southwest%20Airlines.htm

And having more planes and only three lines of checks, show how great your CBA is.

Really?

Then why are the 717 mods before they are going to Delta being outsourced?

Why is WN trying not to get the fourth line going?

You outsource way more work than you do inhouse.
