Sodomy laws were overturned in Lawrence vs. Texas and that ruling applies in all 50 states, so YES, the government is out of the bedroom.

2 still existing examples of government in the bedroom:
don't ask, don't tell
bans on gay marriage

That has nothing to do with the bedroom. Those are discriminatory laws pertaining to government-sanctioned civil unions (those that are called marriage) as well as military employment.

That's discrimination...not government making certain forms of private sexual conduct between two consenting adults illegal.

My point is they were in the room and they seek to return .... look at the defense of marriage laws that conservatives are attempting to pass.

It's still the government being " in the bedroom", especially don't ask, dont' tell. Even if a gay soldier doesn't "come out", if it's discovered that he/she engages in homosexual activity, he/she would be discharged.

Just because something isn't "illegal" doesn't mean the government isn't trying to tell people what they can and can not do. Equal rights are being denied to people because of their sexual orientation.

I think her glasses are just so stylish...Sarah Palin's.

That seems to have summed up the problem with the voting public quite well. Thanks for making such an eloquent argument for my point.

I support the electoral college, but it doesn't need my support because it's in the Constitution.

California's votes are going to the Democrats, so why should I even vote, right?

So was protection from warrantless wiretaps.
