I have a suggestion, take out 2 rows in coach, provide more leg room add a 5th row to F/C bump the base fair by $5 and market it properly and you will make a heck of a lot more money then adding those extra 8 seats and pissing off their best customers. With an 80% load rate they could do it. IMHO
Now there you go.....making sense!! Can't have any of that around here. ;)

I'm looking forward to having my first confrontation with a F/A because there is a crew bag in the FC bins and no room for mine.

Let the games begin......

First of all, no crew member working or deadheading SHOULD be stowing their personal luggage in overhead bins in the F/C cabins (and they know this). Secondly, any pax looking to get into a "confrontation" with a crew member SHOULD be duly advised THINK TWICE before You Go There......or you Will Not be Going Anywhere, and that is FACT.(And there is a Federally Mandated Disruptive Pax Procedure that the airlines Can and Will follow IF you play THAT Card.) Everyone working together gets a helluva lot more accomplished in the long run.

Oh please.......... ;)

Working together would require your management to actually WORK with their customers instead of alienating them. And just an FYI, I know the rules since I used to be involved with a US crew member years ago when it was still located on the east coast and run like a true international carrier.

I was being sarcastic. <_<

Well I'll keep my EYE out for You and your antics.........you'll be yesterdays News. And FYI....lots of folks Don't know the Do's & Don'ts and I personally saw some smart mouth woman hauled away by TSA and local police for her "antics" just the other day.

Oh relax Astro...I don't really think he's going to punch a F/A for putting a bag in the overhead bin and we all know the consequences. Now go get me a vodka and tonic....2 mini's please and extra ice. ;)

Speaking of such things, I knocked a guy in the face with an overhead bin on my flight today...he wasn't very happy. I was like, well you shouldn't have your head there...duh....

I did it to my friends fingers going to recurrent. I was wondering WHYYYY the side overhead on the 767 wasn't closing. Well he never made a sound. Poor thing, I almost chopped his fingers off.

Thanks for the asinine reply. It's most welcome.

Once again......that's sarcasm.

Maybe he was preoccupied with being able to buckle up in the jumpseat without an extension!?
No, we were nonreving to training last month. It was funny though. He was like, "My god you almost took my fingers off". What the hell were they doing in there anyway.... Hey maybe the company can take the overhead bins out all together and just gate valet everyones stuff. That would save HUGE on gas with the weight of the overheads gone. Go down to one LAV too. Hmmm what else. Take out carpet maybe. Lets really make this cheap.

Yesterday I was on an Air Canada 320, too bad it was only a 50 min. flight. After seated in coach, I was bumped up to 1st because coach was sold out.

The plane had 5 rowa in first and 20 in coach holding 140 customers. Plenty of legroom in both cabins. The closet they had in 1st made the old US closets look small.

There were 4 F/As on this plane, and they all worked hard. Coach had an express bev service, no snach.

2 F/As worked first with a light meal and beerage, all glass & china, and a third F/A helped out once coach was served its drink.

The plane was very confortable and clean. Each seat had a 115v outlet and a USB port, could not find out why.

It is a far cry from the "tight" planes that US flies.

Air Canada is making money again, so I guess it can be done without cramming people on board, and offer a place to hang coats.

Oh man....don't give them any ideas....

ANNND, if we take the seat covers/cushions off, they could just send one "cleaner" onboard to hose the plane out between flights! Then, passengers could use their coats for cushions, thereby leaving the overheads for carry-ons, oops, we took the overheads out...I know they could sit on their bags and coats! LOL

Some twit out in the castle has probably thought of ideas not short of what we just mentioned.
That castle person just got a healthy "CHRISTMAS BONUS"! Don't give 'em any more ideas, they want a "SNOW DAY BONUS". lol

Why not install "Parking Meters", Then I can have some fun arguing with them that my quater wouldn't work in the machine.
