America West will never "GET IT". We are all just flapping our jaws in the breeze. Sorry...sad but true.

It's the details like these that differentiate F/C from coach. It is a big deal.

Tell that to the supposed leaders and innovators of the F experience in the United States, Continental. They, along with all of the award people like JD Power & Assocaites or whoever hands those out, must also disagree.

Yes, US has devalued F, which is bad, while most US carriers are upgrading. But this whole "where is ms. hannukahberg or ms. thang" going to put her furs seems to be a poor argument.

Have you ever been the valet upfront? F/C pax seem to REALLY enjoy this small perk. If you haven't been on the receiving end of the one-finger jacket thing, then you are not front-line, and are speaking from an outsider's point of view, IMO.

Delta - No 738, no on new upgraded 757, no MD88, NO SHUTTLE!. Yes on 763 domestic and MD90

Delta is really lacking with their fleet. No closets on the shuttle. Basically the only domestic plane they have them on is the MD90 which flies almost exclusively out of SLC and Delta has a very small number of that fleet type. The domestic 763s do have closets, but these have begun to be slowly phased out of Delta's fleet, like when they recently sold some to Hawaiian.
I've flown every bird Delta has. They ALL have closets.

Northwest - No A319, A320. Yes on DC9-30, DC9-40, DC9-50, 752, and 753

Northwest does not have any closets on their A320 series aircraft, the largest type in their fleet, even with MSP and DTW megahubs.

NW most certainly does have closets on their A319s and A320s. I am here in MSP and just got off an A319. Low and behold, my jacket was hung up in a closet and not scrunched into a ball like it would have been on US.

sounds like doug and his on-crack management team must have been looking at the same website when they made this most recent stupid decision...be patient though...it's gonna get worse!

and of course we'll be vocal here.

Maybe that's why the US forum is the busiest one of all of 'em combined!

Look, I'm all for the HP mgt team saving USAirways, because in essense they did...but now they need to adapt to USAirways business methodology because the HP way simply will not work out East.

The reconfig for the East 319's was 12/108 to 12/112. For the 320's it is 16/126 to 12/138. The 321's are 26/143 to 16/168 I think. The bigger change is 330's going from 41/220 to 29/259.

do you know, or is there a link or something that spells out the timeline on these changes???

thanks!

I agree. Obviously THIS Person probably doesn't see an issue with lack of glassware in F/C or pitiful meals in F/C when the competition offers a Real First Class Product. Bottomline is if you are going to offer a F/C product, Deliver a F/C= Otherwise you are wasting YOUR Time.

Oh no!

Coke - $1.00
Lavatory $5.00/minute
F/A's Safety Lecture $4.00
Captain's Announcements- $7.50

"Continental - No 733, 735, 73G, 738, 739, 753. Only BizFirst 757

Continental basically does not have closets on any domestic plane. And they fly from CLE and EWR"

Continental does have closets on all aircraft with the exception of the 735. This goes for the ERJ's as well. I am not sure where you are getting your information.

So with a load factor of around 80% for both east & west how do they expect to generate money from adding the unneeded seats while pissing off their best customers?

ding! ding! ding! ding! no more callers. it looks like we have a winner. Tempe once again has its head buried in the sandbox and is making the US product even less competitive.
