Tempe is our own little Pyongyang

Freedom:
You need to get over your self. You are a company suck up & need to be in management. Go pound sand some where else.

Your uneducated and have absolutely no idea what oil at 143 dollars a barrel means or what’s going on in the greater us economy .

Pick up a news paper , a business management book and an economics book while your at it and learn .

:ninja:

4 the company isn’t loving/respecting you enough ? what, do you want a hug from doug parker ? seriously , if he gave you a hug and told you he cared would that be enough for you ? or is what you really want increased pay and benefits ? because I think that’s what you want , I know that’s what I wanted when I was in the lesser contract …. But alas for some of you , sad to say , you won’t get increased pay and benefits , not unless your in the lesser contract and can somehow sneak into the higher paying one … good luck thou ,the entire us economy is shaking it’s self to bits …

I think our management is doing as good a job as can be expect when the price of oil is sitting at 143 dollars a barrel and climbing .. things are NOT going to be returning to the old days folks … wages will NOT be going up …..

Are you serious? The flight attendants spend the most time with our passengers. Most of the flight attendants would love to give the customer a great experience. How can they do that when management isn't willing to give them a contract that works with todays economy? The company wants us to settle for the worst part of two contracts. They want us to get paid wages equal to what they were in 1990. They are constantly changing our work rules at the tip of a hat. I'm not asking to be paid the highest in the industry, but don't make the flight attendants at US the lowest paid in the industry. Management could not survive a day in the shoes of a flight attendant. We are not coke slingers, we are safety professionals. On the east coast our reserves cannot even afford the rent for their own apartment. Instead they share one with several other people. That is why I left the company. I got fed up with it and left. Until management recognizes the flight attendant group for who they really are, then maybe our passengers will not be happy with US. It is hard to put a smile on your face when you know you are not appreciated.
So, freedom, I do not want anything to go back to the old days. I want things to be brought up to todays standards. Might I remind you, the flight attendants in the east took 33% paycuts following Sept 11th during our bankruptcy. So we are living well below the "old days" you talk about. Why don't you take 33% away from you paycheck and see how you feel about that.

Well that’s a very emotional argument …. And I can feel for our FA’s truly can … sad part here is that they waited too long to make progress …. I find it doubtful that they will see any sort of raise with oil constantly going up ….. as for their union strength , with the unemployment level continuing to grow , they are in a weaker and weaker position …

Dang it , why did the FA’s waste so much time in getting their contract done ?

Stop it right there . You have no idea what kind of education I have. FYI I do have a college degree. How about you ?

Obviously college degrees ain’t what they used to be!!! Ah hahaha…. What did you get your degree in , basket weaving ?????

Your uneducated … either that or your just completely and utterly immune and unaware of life going on around you ….

if you want to prove your education level to me , please explain in your own words what oil at 143 dollars a barrel means to you ...

also then explain to me your out look on the current us ecomony and where you think it's heading ....

Feel free to write as much as you like , i'll be happy to revivew it when i have the time .

WHY DID THE F/A'S WASTE SO MUCH TIME GETTING THEIR CONTRACT TOGETHER?

We didn't. The company refuses to accept any of our offers. That's why we have been at the table for over 2 YEARS! The company wants to write our contract on their terms only. Are you getting this yet, Freedom? It is the company and management, not the flight attendants are delaying it. Until you know the facts, don't even go there!

1. I think our management IS interested in running a professional airline , our flights are on time ,
I think our management is doing as good a job as can be expect when the price of oil is sitting at 143 dollars a barrel and climbing .. things are NOT going to be returning to the old days folks … wages will NOT be going up …..
You have been in the sun to long or been drinking with Dougie, this managemnt team is the laughing stock of the industry and at the present rate is running us into the ground. Flights are on time because we choose to make them on time not TEMPE. ( and yes oil is the biggest part of the problem now) Will Dougie bring AWA on to LOA 93 and save 100+ million a year?

Why is it that anyone who repeats the same union mantra that they have been using for 20+ years is enlightened and anyone who thinks for themselves that this company is trying real hard to improve service and survive as a viable company during unprecedented economic times is a Kool-Aid drinker?
Don’t understand that.

WN is the highest paid in the industry, the highest percentage of unionized employees in the industry and they are the most profitable.

Why?

Good management who respect and value their employees.

And I know Coachrowsey, you cant even walk in his shoes. I guess you have to resort to insulting a poster when you cant prove them wrong or when you dont agree with them.

And I guess you havent seen WN's latest advertisement campaign which slams US, funny I dont see any other airline being targeted in advertising campaigns.

Freedom,

Your immaturity and lack of common sense are truly incredible. You just believe whatever you are told by the clowns in Tempe and follow them blindly. If they told you to buy land in Arizona because it would be oceanfront, I bet you would.

You are sadly mistaken if you think that Tempe cares anything for you or anyone else on the front line, let alone their customers. They can say anything they want, but actions speak louder than words--and they are only out for themselves.

FACT-they are INCAPABLE of running an airline properly, and they continue to take steps which APPEAR to work, but in the long run cause more problems than they solve.

EVERYONE who isn't living in a cave (and some that are) is facing $140+ oil, but NO ONE is responding to it like the clowns in the Sand Castle. Yes others are implementing fees, and yes, they are unpopular with most of us, but in SOME cases they are an unwelcome necessity. In US' case they cross a line between need and greed however, and are an attempt to cover up for the ineptitude in running an airline.

IF they had not made some of the draconian an ill informed changes they have made over the past couple of years,

IF they had not encouraged their most experienced personnel to leave, knowing that they would have inexperienced untrained people to replace them,

IF they had tried in GOOD FAITH to negotiate with the unions (not necessarily to give them more, but to gain efficiencies which are enjoyed by other airlines,

IF they had been honest with customers and employees alike,

IF they had chosen to give the employees the tools they need to do the job efficiently, and reduce the need for extra spending in the long run,

IF THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING, they would be in a better position to weather the storm.

So you can spout off all you want about $140 oil, and you're not wrong, but ONLY US Airways has launced a frontal attack on both customers and employees alike, and in the end they will get what they deserve.

NOTE--In my heart it hurts to see this happen because I have many friends still working at US Airways (yourself NOT included), but until there is REAL management who is willing to take risks and assume responsibility (and blame) for their mistakes, there is not a chance.

NO OTHER AIRLINE in the US is even considering charging for soft drinks.

NO OTHER AIRLINE in the US has as yet canceled bonus miles for Elites--and my information is they are NOT even thinking of it.

NO OTHER AIRLINE in the US except United has matched the elimination of the 500 mile minimum, and we have heard that even UA is reconsidering.

NO OTHER AIRLINE has such contempt for both customers and employees as does US.

So, Freedom, you are free to go pound sand.....

I will stop now before the cornfield beckons me as well.......

EDITED TO ADD: Whoever is wasting company time and assets monitoring bulletin boards to see who is speaking ill of US is the TRUE person who should be fired....try running an airline correctly....oh right.... they really DON'T KNOW HOW!!!!

Your uneducated ......
Um, indeed. It is, "you are" or, "you're".

Also, your logic seems to parallel your "writing skills". What is the equivalent cost per gallon of jet fuel if crude is $170 per barrel? how about $200 per barrel?

Art I don't have the time to go point-by-point but your post is ridicules. I am sure it will be cheered here but your wrong on almost all accounts and your emotional as 12 year old girl, good grief!
Despite using words like “Factâ€￾ you site none it is all about “ your feelingsâ€￾.
