TEAMSTERS vs IAMAW questions from the voters mechs and related

As I stated most little glitches like the chump change more that aa amt's get will be corrected by the transition agreement.

Just one of the major improvments you will enjoy when you are brought under the IAM agreement is amassing up to 150 sick days an improvment over aa of 110 days. So please get your head out of the sand and read and understand the superior contract the IAM has.

Again get this through your aa clouded brain. Under the IAM contract 500 more peeps would be put back to work.

THE 737's ARE BEING PHASED OUT And The 190's Will Replace Them AND THE ONLY C-CHECK WE DO Is 50% Of THE 737's, The Rest of our Fleet is Farmed Out. What does The IAM superior Contract Have For That??? :glare:

ITS OK TO SAY WE GOT SOLD OUT FOR DUES AND THE IAM THINKING NUMBERS WIN BY DEFAULT.
You Have To Remember The Members Are The UNION And OUR VOTE Does Count.

The scope language covers all mainline aircraft except the exceptions in the language, but since you don't work under and you dont understand it we would not expect you to know that at all.

Article 2 describes what work is exclusively ours and "Clarification of Article 2(B)" page 100 gives the exceptions to article 2. Paragraph "J" page 101 clearly describes what type of work may be outsourced. Just as we never had the specific words Airbus in our contract we don't need Embreair either. It is not one of the specific exceptions. So whatever aircraft they put on the mainline, if it's not one of the ones listed in the exceptions it will come in-house.

sounds to me like wishfull thinking - you are assuming one hell of alot and I bet you Parker and Hemmingway do not read it the same. once again saying you have, what you only wish for ------------

The copy that I am reading, "Clarification of Article 2 B" Paragraph (J), "The Company will bring in house all scheduled S checks for all A320 series aircraft where checks are due following the implementation of this agreement." "Base work will be performed in both CLT and PIT." "The Company may outsource all 757, 767, and A330 maintenance excluding normal line work." "The Company may outsource a maximum of 50% of the 737 required scheduled O checks annually." Granted, while Article 2 is not aircraft type specific, the clarification letter is. There is a lot of instances of the word "may" and there are a lot of loop hole statements.....for example, those that refer to work being done by employees or vendors, if facilities, equipment, etc. isn't available........the door is wide open.

aw,
stick to things you know:

The whole article reads:

"the company agrees that the following described work, wherever performed, is recoginzed as coming within the jurisdiction of the IAMAW and is covered by this Agreement: the making, assembling, erecting, dismantiling and repairing of all machinery, mechanical equpiment, engines and motors, of all description, including all work involved in dismantling, overhauling, repairing, fabricating, assembling, welding and erecting all parts of airplanes, airplane engines, avionincs equipment, electrical system, heating system, hydraulic system and machine tool work in connection therewith, including all maintenance, construction and inspection work in and around shops, hangars, buildings and including the servicing, cleaning and polishing of airplanes and parts thereof, and the servicing and handiling og all ground equipment performed in and about Company shops, Maintenance base, Aircraft Base Maintenance bases and Line service stations."

The language you posted are the exceptions.

There is also an alter ego letter that says if any jet, including an RJ is flown by mainline it falls under Article 2.

Don't let the facts get in your way!

Maybe I would have the facts IF we were ever to get a copy of the damn contract!!

Like I said, you are not a union member at US so you are not entilted to the contract, now are you?

Go ask Al,see what he says?
