Teamsters "raiding" TWU?

REPEAT: I would rather take an extension than what all the other unions provided for their members since and prior to 9-11 COMBINED.
You Damn right AMFA has the resources and drive to enter into difficult nego's. It will be more like, will the AA members be ready to hold out for a difficult contract? Your membership has already shown how easily they cave to concessions, not only in 2013, but also in 2003, 1993, and 1983.
For you to tell me that 9-11 didn't effect us is BS. It effected all airlines. And yes it had a direct effect during nego's. Just like your union's current concessions agreement with AA has a direct effect on us as well. Just because SWA was able to stay profitable before, during, after and since 9-11 doesn't mean we were not greatly effected.

So now you are blaming the membership?

amfa members ALWAYS blame someone....

..... go amfa ???

But what was told to them during these informational meetings? Was it negative scare tactics about the plight of the industry since 9-11 and extensions were the best options? In 2004, WN had made a profit of more than $300 Million, ordered dozens of new aircraft and enjoyed fuel savings it was able to reinvest which totaled more than $450 million. Just answer yes or no to this; did amfa explain all this to the members?

After learning of such a financially stable company platform, I would not have voted for an extension nor suggested one.

You say there was no lay off's or rif's but at the same time attrition was allowed to play the course without replacement. Your mechanics per aircraft ratio continued to go down in order to accomplish outsourcing maintenance to South America. Many of us consider this the same thing as a lay off.
Agreed. WN is not the only place where AMFA rolled over like a puppy when they clearly had the upper hand. Everything that can be easily outsourced has already been done at AS and WN while both companies continue to have higher profit margins than any other US carrier. They had power and they failed to exercise it.

Getting one more line of 60 - 75 AMTs to let so much work not only continue to be outsourced, but outsourced to El Salvador and put not only union but non-union Americans out of work as well. Romney couldn't have done a better job of pushing more outsourcing than AMFA did with AS and WN.

Roll over like a puppy? You mean like when the international holds a snausages dog treat over one of the "wannabe" international hopeful appointees?

Ken you have nothing to offer but childish comments. You have a proven record of flip flopping on unions, accepting favors from the Int'l, and taking assistance from groups that want to outsource our work to unlicensed and foreign workers. You're a real treasure.

"Lighten up Francis."

Nothing to offer? Hummmm?

I offer my energy in fighting to remove an industrial, catch all, undemocratic, unaccountable union from ruining my craft.

I offer principles in paying for a craft, democratic, accountable union and getting a craft, democratic, accountable union.

I offer to stand up and be identified for my beliefs.

I will also offer you a snausages. Although you should really step away from the treats. ;)

You offer fear, lies and unaccountability. How's hiding in the shadows working out for you?

Well Twu guy why don't you talk against the IBT any thoughts on that??

Ah thought not so typical

Although I was answering 3rd seat, I will answer you as you are trying to twist and mislead yet again. Here's your first answer, NOOOOO!!! Did you get that? No. AMFA did not use scare tactics to the members as you are trying to imply.

Second, there was no volunteered attrition at SWA before or after 9-11. Period. You are trying to twist an attrition movement to look just like a lay-off. Once again you look pathetic grasping for anything and everything you can to TRY and make AMFA look bad. The only volunteered attrition that did happen was freedom 09 which was "the employees choice to stay or leave". Not the co choice as what is happening at your airline. BTW. Our employees that desided to go were compensated if they chose to leave In your attrition example. Was any of the AA'ers that were FORCED out given this option?? Didn't think so. Once again you are proven wrong. Keep up the great job for both the TWU and the teamsters.

Blame membership for what? Quit trying to twist and turn. It's. It working Anomaly. In fact it is doing the opposite that YOU want it to do.
And I will beat you to your next question, YES!!! I voted in favor of the 2004 extention. And very proud that we did extend.

Teamsters came by the house today, one old lady and one UA mechanic. They left pissed off.

The old lady was a truck driver. Can you fill us in on how it went? Hopefully you took up a lot of their time before you sent them packing.

So we are clear, and you do not assume I am twisting your words or sticking anything in to your mouth, I included my original post to this subject above.

You answered NOOOO, but then you confused the issue by adding the first question which deserves more than a yes or no. You did not answer my question.

Lets try again.

Again, my original post to this next subject above and your rebuttal below

Again with your insertions. I never mentioned anything about VOLUNTARY anything. I simply stated what we all know to be true.

IF THE COMPANY DOES NOT REPLACE THOSE THAT LEAVE, AND SENDS THE WORK TO ANOTHER COUNTRY, IT IS NOT MUCH DIFFERENT THAN A FURLOUGH.

Is that clear enough for you?

I lead them on for about ten minutes then I let them have it, told them that AFW is 75% AMFA, and all the line stations are AMFA also, and that they were waisting their time. It seamed like the UA mechanic understood with what I was saying.

What did you let them have?

The UA mechanic probably felt sorry for you. I know I do.
