Teamsters filed at USAir for representation

The IAM pension fund has not reduced for mechanic and related not one cent, I think its an $86 a month multiplier, I know its at least $81.

The IAM pension fund which the Mechanic and Related is in was reduced, in fact in almost half, just prior to the Mechanic and Related joining.

If it wasn't done it would have been in worse shape then the Central now or insolvent

Don't let the facts and details get in the way of your half truths.

Was the multiplier reduced for Fleet Service without their consent to your knowlege the past year or two?

US mechanics didnt join till 2008 and it has not been reduced the rate is $85.46 for mechanics. No one has had a multiplier of $160+.

And future accrual rates might be reduced for fleet depending on negotiations, this has been explained on the fleet side.

You are lying again. The monthly multiplier in the IAM pension table showed as high as $722.40 for a $16.00 hourly contribution in schedule A. With Schedule B the monthly multiplier was crushed to $433.44 for the same $16.00 hourly contribution.

The hourly contribution at $2.00 was a monthly multiplier of $142.43 on Schedule A and was crushed to $85.46 on Schedule B.

A 40% reduction. No wonder the IAM pension is still solvent. But there is talk of another cut.

Everyone can see through your IAM glazed eyes the truth 700UW. The facts are the facts, You can spin it anyway you want but the IAM pension has reduced it's rates to remain solvent and can and probably will again in the future.

I am not wrong, just got the information from the General Chairman of CLT.

So stop lying, its contractual in the US/IAM Mechanic and Related CBA.

WASHINGTON--([background=transparent]BUSINESS WIRE[/background])-- The National Mediation Board (NMB) today announced the dates for the representation election to be conducted for the Mechanic & Related class and craft at US Airways. Mechanic & Related employees at the carrier are represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM). The NMB will mail voting instructions to eligible voters on July 8, 2013.
"The Teamsters have a history of promising long and delivering short," said IAM General Vice President Sito Pantoja. "More than $3 million of Teamster [background=transparent]members'[/background] dues money is spent on federal oversight due to corruption. US Airways Mechanic and Related employees deserve an industry-leading contract, which the IAM will secure. They don't deserve to be lied to by the Teamsters and have their pensions and job-security jeopardized."
The votes will be tabulated and the results announced at 2 pm on August 12, 2013 at NMB headquarters in Washington, DC.
"IAM Mechanic and Related workers at US Airways have a lot to defend and a lot to lose in this election, including their pensions and job-security. The Machinists Union has already guaranteed the seniority and protected the pensions of IAM members at US Airways and the merger with American Airlines hasn’t even been concluded," said IAM District 142 President Tom Higginbotham. "The Teamsters have done nothing for aircraft mechanics. No pension, no caps on outsourcing to China, much higher dues and no union democracy. IAM members deserve better."
The IAM represents approximately 5,000 Mechanic and Related workers at US Airways and is the largest airline union in North America.

Wonder why the second page of NMB letter is dated April 19, 2013. Maybe a form letter.

THERE IS NO GUARANTEED MONTHLY MULTIPLIER.....FACT

You and your half truths don't cut it with me. Never have and never Will. Mr. former Lavman

The multiplier is what I posted, straight from the General Chairman of CLT.

The multipliers are what I posted and the links to them and to Schedules for reductions that the IAM pension put in place to remain solvent. You can't pull the wool over anyones eyes with your half truths. Every knows your MO.You also lied about the multiplier being in the CBA. Like it was locked in. It isn't locked in and can be changed anytime.

You do not run this board and can't enforce anything so stop lying.

So are you saying the District 142 GC is lying?

Have fun in Iowa.

I trust the language in the CBA and the IAM pension funds own website before I would trust what you a certified IAM lapdog or a GC trying to save his job and the IAM for being decertified.

The links and proof are there for all to see.

You offer nothing but your mouth and hearsay. I guess you expect everyone to take that as gospel. LOL

Like I said, the multiplier is what I posted, case closed, keep lying all you want.

Wow, that changes everything. Really called that one wrong , I thought the IBT just filed at US to help spur the AA card drive. With the large number of mechanics still Riffed from US I thought the IBT would fall short, the fact that they didn’t means that the IBT is pretty much assured a win at US. With a win at US the IBT will be able to run against the TWU even if they fell short in last weeks filing but by filing ahead of AMFA they knocked them out of the race. Got to give credit where credit is due, it was a win-win for the IBT to file at AA when they did. Ironically the best hope for the TWU in such a scenario would be a large AMFA write in and that’s very unlikely.

Sito is way too late, USAIRWAYs exited BK in 2005, eight years ago, and the gap between them and other mechanics has grown wider, not narrowed over those eight long years. United came out of BK after USAIR but their mechanics have been way way ahead of USAIR in pretty much everything for a while . Hittenbottom throws out job security as an accomplishment when there is a mechanic shortage. The average mechanic at US is over 55, they aren't about to lay off any of the few young workers they have, if anything they will need to offer an early out to get some young blood on the property. That’s like offering someone who is drowning a drink of water.

Eight years out of BK and still at the bottom of the industry. Its as if with the IAM they are going through a perpetual BK that simply wont end. The IAM sat on the sidelines as USAIR workers continued to sit at bottom of the industry wages and USAIR management “went a courtin” the Unions at AA. “Hollow promises “ are probably pretty appealing to workers who have only received lame company provided excuses for the last eight years since US left BK. Sure they can blast the IBT for making Hollow promises but CAL and UAL, Hollow promises aside, have better deals than USAIR has and they too went through BKs and mergers. The IAMs latest deal to join forces with the union that holds the distinction of having absolutely the worst contract ever in the industry isn’t likely to inspire mechanics at USAIR that the IAMs new deal is set to be any better for them for the next ten years than it has been for the the last ten. Hittenbottom got one thing right, "IAM members deserve better".
