Teamsters filed at USAir for representation

I guess the reamsters cant read, the IAMNPF said they will no longer accept contributions on behalf of the Mechanic and Related if they are no longer ibt.

Also, good luck on collection dues via payroll deduct.

Nothing to worry about the IAM will prevail.

At AWA we had our IBT dues on payroll deduct just more iam B.S.

Read the IAM/US CBA, its quite clear the DCO only applies to the IAM.

The language was written by Gerry Glass who had the same language in the IBT/FA CBA at NW and when the IBT was VOTED out at NW the DCO language was union specific and NW refused to take dues money out, the PFAA took them to court and lost. So NW never took dues out of the FA's CBA.

Why are you lying Travis?

Article 19 Paragraph 3, Page 82:, Dues Check-off.

3. This Article shall be in effect only as long as the IAM is the collective bargaining representative of the employees covered by this Agreement.

Travis, if the ibt/twu/company would collude against the members at AA. What makes you think they wouldn't collude against the members at US? After all they are the same leaders and they have lifetime appointments. You cannot remove them from office and you don't vote them into office, only the appointer can do that. Looking at the lm2's the twu is about half appointed with no recall rights, but the ibt is even worse at close to 95% appointed and cannot be recalled. These unions claim that gives them the opportunity to pick the best candidate yet, they always pick the ones that suck up to the international officers. When elections come around for the few that are elected the appointed ones are expected to pony up a ton of cash and support to keep the appointments. What do you make of this never ending love fest? http://www.forbes.com/sites/tedreed/2013/08/02/teamsters-we-did-not-raid-american-we-were-invited-in/

This isnt HP, read the YOUR IAM CBA, I quoted it, language has all ready been tested in court and the PFAA lost.

So glad you have to insult, now prove me wrong, the language I posted is straight out of the IAM/US CBA.

Guess you dont know how to comprehend what you read.

Your not covered under the former ibt/HP CBA that was the bottom barrel of the industry.

How is it a threat?

Its contractual language that Gerry Glass put in the CBA and has been tested in the court system.

Are you that obtuse or is it just the ibt colored glasses?

Cant be a man and admit your wrong and the language is what it is?

And what does Auto Bill have to do with DCO in your IAM/US CBA?

After reading and listening to all the trash talk the past several months I have finally decided and submitted my vote....IBT. It was a tough decision, but after looking at the various issues I felt that for the past several years the IAM has taken us for granted and lost touch with the membership. If they would have put this much effort towards the membership a few years ago, maybe things would be different. Much more about this election than seniority and pension that need addressed, time for a change......
