Once again it seems that USAPA’s word is useless. It must be in the C&BL to not live up to bargains made.
That wasn't a USAPA screw-up.
It was the Sandcastle.
They went out and hired a PR firm to try to control the whole 1549 situation, presumably to make their incompetent selves look good with positive publicity, and also, presumably, to keep the AFA and USAPA from gaining any leverage from the fact that those five heroes are among the lowest paid in their professions, while US Airways management are the highest paid in theirs. (Their reward for running the airline that leads the league in consumer complaints every quarter, and still loses money on oversold flights.)
Thankfully, the unions saw through that ruse, and hired their own PR firm or firms.
You should have seen the schedule that the company hacks had for Sully. God Himself couldn't have been in all those places at all those times.
But, why should that surprise anybody?
