ITRADE, time for a reality check for yourself, airline employees cannot strike at the drop of a hat, so there is no threat until the NMB releases the parties.
A contract in the airline industry does not expire it becomes amendable, the IAM/US Airways Mechanic and Related contract became amendable in August of 1995, it was settled in Ocotober of 1999, FOUR YEARS, four years of the company stalling, four years on no raises while the company raked in profits and profited of off our backs, and it took the the threat of strike after finally being released from federal mediation to obtain that contract, so why don't you get your facts straight.
And with the Liar in the white house he stopped NWA and UAL unionized empoyees from going on strike, so there is no threat.
Look at Southwest six months and they had a new contract in place for their ticket and res agents.
So don't pull the strike crap with me, because their is no threat as long as companies can use the Railway Labor Act to stall and prolong negotiations and then ask the President to stop any strike from occuring. The RLA was written in 1926 when there were no airlines and it was written to protect interstate commerce, not protect railroad and airline workers.
Look up the facts before you post.
