I have put in a few question about rotating system and who would be interested I hope to have a good turnout of answers. Let me just state and please read the questions - this would only be for reserves and sometime b/h if you have not been a reserve in years this would not effect you.

the other reserve topic was blocked and I wanted to respond to the person who wrote this
"In response to the need for change it starts at the top the mec prsident has to go. I reccomend anyone who supports him to pull his expense reports look at the info when he is in contract talks out west notice the quality of hotel he stays at, and its not the twin palms, notice the type of car he rents, its not an econmy car and lastly notice the food and BEVERAGE part. you will be calling for his removal after that."

I wanted to answer that question. at PHL local meeting it was voted on that Mike Flores has to be elected by us, no longer by the 5 presidents only. So he will have to campaign soon as his term is coming to an end

I voted yes for the first question so I don't know why it is showing no! It won't let me change my answers but I am all for a rotating reserve system. I like the 3 days a month idea especially!

I have been a part of a reserve rotating system. To say the least, they suck. You stated "This will not affect 15+ year people", yes it will. It will affect alot more people then you know and essentially put more people back on reserve. If I helf a full block as you all call it, I would never go back on reserve after already have been there done that.

3-days a month would not suffice at US Airways, when the program started at Song our longest trip was three days. So say US Airways longest trip is 4-6 days. That means you will have up to 6-days a month of reserve, untradeable or very hard to do so. If 40% of the base is reserve it can go as high as 75%. I have seen it.

The only other system is what United or American does and it's even worse. The best system is straight reserve until you hold a line. Trust me, I have done it all.

the rotating system we are asking for would be only people who do not hold a block or hold a block once in a while. USAIRWAYS is 15-18 years. for those who are not reserve we do not want them to go back to reserve. Im so sorry that you have done it all but you have not done USAIRWAYS reserve. to be here and see no end in sight - literally - would you not want something better? you would think we are asking for the moon - we are only asking to be treated with some respect - take the best from a rotating system - and use that. if it so wonderful to be a reserve - if so many b/h are against going on reserve then there is something wrong - all we want is a fix - Just to let you know - WE do not want to be on reserve either - people with 15 plus years deserve to know their schedule it ridiculous that there are anywhere from 100-to 200 open trips daily and they cannot figure out how to to lower the reserve ratio.

I'd like to add my votes too, but the YES option to the first question is not there at all. It will only allow me to choose NO.

Could someone please look into this as well. I am using SAFARI so maybe that is a part of the problem??

Thank you for the poll, long overdue.

I worked for a company that to saw no end to life on reserve and it was called Delta. When I was hired on reserve in my base was 7 months and it later turned to life long.

I did the A-day thing and it sucks. No matter what you say it must go by a percentage of the base no matter what airline it is. It will put people who hold a block back on reserve.

Improve your reserve system and wait for your line. If that doesn't make you happy, it might make someone else....

You know its really messed up when people from other companies are the only ones chiming in on this subject. Where are all the RSvs ???? Oh, they're working???

As you can see the AFA link below has developed cobwebs....

I would love to see something that resembled a life for those here that have nothing to look forward to but "Career Reserve"

WHat about PBS???

I don't understand why some people get so upset, when people from other airlines with experience in areas others have none, get so upset when you share facts and opinions.

Well it is a Friday of a holiday weekend. They’re all out flying the trips that blockholders called in sick on.

Don’t worry about it. I’ve been trying to tell the kids here what a rotten idea rotating RSV is for years. They like to stick their fingers in their ears and go “La la la la la, la, I can’t hear you, la, la,laâ€￾.

Sorry. I missed your grand explanation because I had my fingers in my ears and was singing lalalala.

I've stopped for the moment so hit me with your wisdom.

And it had

better be

good.

Love and kisses,

"THE KIDS"

Damn!!

I've always thought that. Of course no one listens to me either.

Thanks for bringing that up.

Rotating reserve isn't the answer. Straight seniority based reserve is the most civilized IMO.
