Please Keep This In Mind...

You need to stop dictating what people should do and start respecting that every individual will vote or do what they feel is necessary for their own well being.
Thanks for your reply.

I am not dictating anything, just asking the questions that need asked.

Basically you’re saying let it fail.

Ok, that's your choice...

Good Luck

MMW: I really like what you just posted. I am sure alot of folks feel the same way. If by some "miracle" the Unions decide to "listen", renegotiate, compromise, and GIVE, I feel that every little "minute detail" should be gone over with a Magnifying Glass. This time around....if there is one.....the U employess will not walk so blindly into the darkness.

I am not out to scare employees. I am out to explain the facts. The fact is your irrational union leaders don’t have your personal interests in mind, but are misguiding you. Look at their self-serving actions thinking they have some kind of power. The only real power they have is to make their membership into job seekers. I am glad you are prepared; too bad most others are not for prepared for the realities facing them and their loved ones. Anger will only shorten you life, you must have also learned that talent from your union leader where anger rules and common sense is left behind.â€￾

Have Nice Calm Day
Uza,

First and foremost do not attempt to imply I haven't helped out. As I said before, I've done that twice. The third time won't happen simply because I refuse to sacrifice my wages for a group of leaders who have done nothing to prove they are up to the task. First it was "We'll go into bankruptcy" and then it was "We'll liquidate." Now their coming to the table again with "We'll default on the loan and/or liquidate."

I have seen the unemployment line after the first round of concessions. Unemployment is not the end of the world because I know my self-worth and know my education and multiple skills will give me a few different avenues to explore. I have already taken the measures necessary to live life after USAirways. You see, I have common sense. Common sense and self worth put me in a position to ask myself "Am I truly in the position to give more?" The answer is no! I have studied the cards placed on the table and have concluded that the possibility of more concessions is financially not feasible for me. I have the right to say "No" and will excercise that right. Considering most of my co-workers say the same thing, some with 15+ years, I imagine you will be surprised that most people at U have self worth and are pretty fed up with the whole thing.

Yes, I am angry but anger does not rule my life as you would like to believe. I'm angry at management for assuming that I am an ignorant nit wit that will play into the hands of people who have yet to come up with a viable business plan. I am not a sacrificial lamb waiting to die before the Gods of corporate culture to ensure they live high on the hog for their remaining days. You underestimate me. My research and experience tells me that even if I give again I'll still be unemployed. So why give you more before I go?
