If this is true for JAN 08 they are more clueless than I thought. They have published transfers for JAN 08 and the VAC bid JUST closed yesterday. If they want to take on a bumping displacment and base closure this close to the holidays then fine. Anyone with brains would wait until January to announce closure for March or April. Then again, we are dealing with Tempe.

If the PIT base closes are LGA and BOS far behind?

sky high states: I thought this was based on hotel expenses. Say, four terminators come into LGA everynight. BOS, DCA, PHL and CLT. That's 16 rooms per night, at a rate of say, $50.00 per crewmember. 16 X 50 = $800.00 PER NIGHT. We fly 365 days per year, which would equal.....$292,000.00.
Say, BOS had the same terminators each night.......double that to........$584,000.00 for both bases.

SATELITE BASES????????
