Hello again , I thought I might pop back into the board to share my views on the issue of putting in a new union . I for one don’t love the IAM to death , so if they were replaced with another union I wouldn’t shed too many tears for them .HOWEVER , I find the timing of this union drive to be most inconvenient , to everyone who wants a new union , I say fine , have your elections and your card signings , but please wait until after the second week of January to do so . It’s not going to be long before the holidays are here , why are you fighting amongst yourselves when you should be preparing to fight the company ? This is not the time to fall apart or risk becoming decertified , I know a lot of people on the east AND the west are unhappy with the level of service we’re getting from our union , but now is NOT the time for a civil war within fleet service .


I urge patience , it won’t be long now before thanksgiving …

Alot of people have been fed up with the IAM for a long time . when the TWU came knocking alot of folks (including myself) gave them a second or third or fourth chance.
BUT now WE have HAD ENOUGH.. THEY ONLY SHOW ANY INTEREST IN THEIR MEMBERSHIP WHEN IT IS IN JEOPARDY..

About all the unions in the airlines took about the same level of concessions.

The IBT took Concessions at CO, and they were voted off the property at NW and WN.
