Those with no insurance or those that were denied due to pre existing conditions would argue against the "world's finest" meme.

I am still seeing the same people with the same coverage. I do have more well visit things covered under the basic plan now. My deductible and copay went up slightly, as it had for previous 10+ years prior to obamacare.
Did your care go down?
And who is "you guys" and where did I say I wanted single payer?
PHXConx said:you guys=anyone for ACA/AGainst the insurance industry prior to it..
my care will go down after 2018 and the cadillac tax provisions go into effect...
The 'worlds best' what ever that means does not mean squat if you cannot afford it. My mother was in Berlin about 10 years ago and fell. She broke her arm. She had several screws and 2 plates put in her arm. Eleven days in a semi private room, IV drugs, PT ..the whole 9 yards. Grand total was $5k. I had a hernia surgery. Out patient. In at 6a out at 2p. My tab after insurance was around $3k.PHXConx said:that nothing, that the rest of the world clamors to get...
only in America can you go from worlds finest to mediocre and be thankful

Medical surgery vacations out side the US are growing exponentially according to the news reports. Our health care made be great, access tot he care sucks sweaty monkey balls.
if ever the usa gets sane and stops defending europe from europe then lets see them pay for it, if they had to stomach the majority of nato they wouldnt be able to afford their single payer, they already tax at over 80% in franceMs Tree said:May be it is because they see the rest of the wearer countries in the world who have single payer and see how well it works for them?

wow... you know that i didnt mean work hard only for health care, that it was one of the things we worked hard towards... good lord dont act like everyone who reads this is as stupid as you think they are...Ms Tree said:I imagine it would/could be like any one of well over a dozen countries that have vastly superior healthcare coverage/access than the US.
Why on earth would I want to work hard just to get health care. I would rather work hard so I can enjoy my life.
Since more people are insured, more people are getting health care services, people who were denied due to pre-existing .... etc I don't think you have to worry about it. Hopefully the change over from our previous non-existent health insurance to a single payer based system will continue. I think that is where it is headed, at least I hope so.
Next year will be the third increase in my insurance, making it literally triple in three years. We went from 2 insurance plans to one in-house plan that we were forced to join. My deductible and the price for my meds has remained the same. How did the care provided by my doctor suddenly change after the passage of obamacare?
Actually there are about 150 million Americans with pre-existing conditions. The number of people diagnosed with heart disease, cancer, diabetes and who knows what else make up roughly half the US population. Not all of them are uninsured but now they have options to shop around for insurance where before they did not.PHXConx said:wow... you know that i didnt mean work hard only for health care, that it was one of the things we worked hard towards... good lord dont act like everyone who reads this is as stupid as you think they are...
the numbers for the pre existing conditions were trumped up by the obama administration its one of those little white lies like if you like your insurance you can keep it, except well we made it illegal to offer so really you cant...
The Obama administration has lied with statistics! Instead of 150 million, there are 1.5 million Americans, who “cannot get insurance or must pay higher premiums due to pre-existing conditions.” The pre-existing conditions crisisbecomes a gnat bite when things are measured correctly. How to Lie with Statistics of the 1960s showed how to fudge statistics a little, not to exaggerate by a hundred-fold. The Obama administration has taken this to a new level befitting the 21st century.
