BS, it;s the realization that at one point you are statistically going to need health care which you cannot afford.  It's the realization that having the costs spread out over a vast pool of people lowers that cost and allows everyone to get the health care that they need without suffering financial ruin.  Not sure what ACA has to do with your comments above seeing that ACA is not single payer.
 
Until we go single payer and get the insurance companies out of the health care business we will be stuck with the health care system we now.

So, let me get this straight here, what your saying is that your in favor of dumping obamacare in favor of a single pay system?

Yes.  Said that from the start.  From what I have read that is what Obama wanted as well but the insurance companies and Congress saw to that this would not happen.  That's how we ended up with ACA.  Slightly better than what we had but no where near what we need.

Most folks want to dumb ACA, but no one I know want to go back to what we had.  No politician I have heard wants to go single payer and no insurance company wants it either.
 
Just to be clear on single payer.  Federally collected tax funded mandatory health insurance.  No private insurance (except for additional coverage).
 
So yes I want to dump ACA but not until Congress passes legislation for a better alternative and I do not see that happening in the near future.

How on earth could you know that? Or is it just the circle of friends you go around with? its still amazes me the union folks that still defend the ACA.  
 
because of it you will lose your hard earned health care... 2018 hits and those plans start going away cant wait to hear all the crying... i mean it hurts me because we let party politics go ahead of labor movement  
 
we hoped for an exemption but they wont its the one thing that keeps single payer from happening...our great health care...

Fed is not administering health care, just collecting and diapering the funds for the care.

How else should it be done if not by the Fed?

May be it is because they see the rest of the wearer countries in the world who have single payer and see how well it works for them?
