Yea yea. We get it. Liberal/progressive bad ... conservative/libertarian good. Where have I heard this tune before.SparrowHawk said:Fantasy? That's why they call it the "American Dream" because thanks to the Progressive Liberals you have to be asleep to believe it now.
Just as you were speaking about people in general so was I. Get over your self. Point still stands. You are in favor of letting people have blood with out requiring that they pay in to the bank.EastUS1 said:"...even though you never donated?" Sigh! I've always found myself just-plain amazed at the typically mindless arrogance of self-righteous, "liberal" fantasists. I have donated many times, and do every year ....and you?...Or do you just prefer to forever "whine"? I'll guess you'll take the forever whine road. Lord knows your sorry sort always expects that others will cater to and supply your needs/defend you/etc...?

EastUS1 said:ms Tree: So you think its fair that when you go in for emergency surgery you should get blood that other people donated even though you never donated?
eastus1: "I have donated many times, and do every year ....and you?"
Let's see here: I donate. You don't. The "liberal"...umm..."answer" to that is naturally NOT that you do ANYTHING at all useful yourself, but that any who actually DO should "Get over yourself"? Most amusing....One must marvel in utter amazement at just what supposed "point" you could even imagine that you have to offer....?
Too many mushrooms?EastUS1 said:Not to fly under false colors here; my blood donations are only a once a year gift to others. It pleases me to think that some small portion of myself might help others through "difficult" times, and perhaps I've some spiritual concerns for how many I've harmed, rather than helped along life's amazing journey. I've no belief that God much directly cares about "teams"/uniforms or nations. Each human being is responsible for his/her actions. You may now feel free to again fantasize excessive self-worth and pretentious "value" to both your inane and nonsensical "thoughts" and life...and never forget to attempt to advance your presumed, apparent "point" about only "liberals" being so "wise", "knowing" and of course "caring"...even if your sorts virtually never, personally do a single thing to demonstrate it.
I've always found the whole "liberal mind" to be a source of cynical amusement. Let's start with a few basic questions:
Since the supposedly "liberal" agenda is based on heart-felt "concern" for all others....well...Do you own or even rent a home?/Have cable and a television? At least a computer? Are you personally willing to sell at least the vast majority of your worldly goods for the betterment of the truly desperate? Do you even begin to pretend to understand just how many other human beings are every day dying horribly from starvation, and need even FOOD?...Yet there you sit on your "liberal" and "caring" arse, personally enjoying relative wealth that could well be otherwise employed to keep people, including literally babies, from starving elsewhere in this world? Given that even if you sold your goods; that help to many of these people would never reach them, being diverted instead into the coffers of various "warlords" and opportunistic scum: Would you be personally willing to do the necessary killing/perhaps dying to ensure that such supposedly "human" animals were eliminated?....Even if just temporarily in any given region? NO? Sigh!....I didn't think so. Proceed along with your fatuous fantasies then.
PUI.Too many mushrooms?
WTF?
BS, it;s the realization that at one point you are statistically going to need health care which you cannot afford. It's the realization that having the costs spread out over a vast pool of people lowers that cost and allows everyone to get the health care that they need without suffering financial ruin. Not sure what ACA has to do with your comments above seeing that ACA is not single payer.SparrowHawk said:

Folks this is what single payer is, the confiscation of your wealth to redistribute to others. ObamaCare is the confiscation of your wages via coercion or extortion and giving it to wealthy Insurance Companies that then use the profits to donate to politicians who in turn seek ways to confiscate ever higher percentages of your money and the circle of Crony Capitalism continues.
