What better paying jobs are there for them to get? If they have crappy pay for one job type, odds are there is crappy pay at a similar job. Someone with a GED is not likely to get a job as a CPA or programmer analyst. And the solution? They should work two jobs and go to night school to better themselves. Who needs sleep?

When some OKIE is (maybe) making $10 bucks an hour, he's probably BELOW the Poverty line. Which in turn means he can't afford to move out of state (OK). You haven't a clue. Look into the Advance Premium Tax Credit, food stamps, Liheap and other programs available. Suddenly with those bills out of the way, $10 an hour isn't that bad.....even Walmart workers know this.

TX, has some geographical diversity, but OKIE-HOMA doesn't appear to be very cosmopolitan, at first thought.
