I am urging everyone of my fellow Pilots to Vote,"YES" for this recall. Please don't listen to Mark King one of our so called Brothers that sold the MDA Pilots out and that was 100% behind the First MOU. No retro pay and a Job Killer. Chip Munn? Do I need to say anything more about Mr. United is a done deal?
I just ask you to talk to the Pilots that have been going to the BPR Meetings and have witnessed the Weakness shown by our Leaders. The last PHL meeting, I was there and I am the one who gave Hummel every chance to explain why we continually cave to Management and now to APA. He refused too be honest with everyone in the room so I called for his recall and it was second with no hesitation and had only 1 no vote. Have we seen any action by Hummel over the seniority meeting between APA the West and Management? Have we seen any out rage toward APA for showing up to that meeting?
I have just learned that Rob Streble got into a disagreement with Hummel and put forward his resignation. Hummel told him not to do that now, because it would look bad for him. Hummel also told the Office Staff not to say anything about it. Hummel is hiding this from all of us. What else has he hidden?
This is the right time to Recall Hummel. It will not weaken us it will make us stronger. I see us repeating the TWA history. They were the lowest paid and under a bankrupted contract for more years than us. When American came in their UNION (ALPA) sold them down the road. They just wanted out from under their dismal history because it showed how weak ALPA was.
Gary Hummel is going down that same road. He has allowed the gutting of our protections and he will allow APA more power at the seniority table than they deserve. I am not afraid of APA and if they want to fight than we will give them a fight. I ask all who reads this to help. You can start by Voting, "YES" to this recall.

Hi Everyone,
I see that Christmas did little to slow down the character assasination campaign led by "Joe Voter" and company. If you haven't received any of his letters, they are a series of anonymous emails attacking the character of pretty much any union officer (past or present ) who worked with Gary as President and supports the recall. People much more technologically savvy than myself tell me the author of these anonymous emails is Mark King. History leads me to believe that Steve Bradford is likely involved since they always seem to write political pieces as a team. I'll have to say that there is an unmistakable irony in publicly attacking anyone you disagree with yet not signing your name.
Speaking of ironies, the Ballot Certification has jumped in the fray with a political piece of their own masked as a resignation letter. I'm sure everyone is shocked. The committee members claim they are resigning their positions because of the ongoing dirty politics, yet their letter was written as a political commentary leaving little doubt how it would be used. I won't waste time picking apart the numerous ironies in their letter related to integrity, dirty politics and an alleged campaign by BPR members to harm them. But since they portray themselves as selfless "volunteers" serving the pilots, I will ask...who are these men serving by their resignations? Certainly not the pilots.
While it's actually quite entertaining providing rebuttals to the litany of attacks coming from Team Hummel, there is a law of diminishing returns to continue to do so. With that in mind, I have a letter (with my name at the top and bottom) coming out later today to all pilots where I try to summarize what pilots who are undecided about the recall should be focusing on. It's pretty simple really. The overwhelming majority of BPR members who have served while Gary has been president are very vocally recommending that their membership vote for an immediate change in leadership. So, should pilots trust the judgment of these men who have watched Gary in action or should they trust anonymous Joe and his friends?
Interesting fact: Since USAPA has been our bargaining agent there have been 9 CLT Domicile Representatives. All 9 are voting to recall Hummel.

Ballot Certification Committee Resigns
It is with great regret that we tender our resignations from the Ballot Certification Committee immediately.
It has been a privilege serving the pilots of USAPA, and we thank them for trusting us with the oversight of this important committee. We recognize that our members have very diverse and passionate views. USAPA's elections and referendums are the vehicle by which the collective will of our pilots is truly and accurately expressed.
We have had many challenges to overcome, both internal and external, in order to maintain fair elections for our pilots. Since its inception, every election conducted by this committee has adhered to the highest ethical standards, and has met or exceeded every applicable statute outlined by the US Department of Labor. We have worked very closely with the Department of Labor and have received high accolades from them, as well as from our pilots. We are proud of the fact that the Department of Labor has upheld this committee's actions and decisions in every challenge which has arisen to date.
The time commitment involved in scheduling, conducting, and officiating elections is considerable. Every member of our committee is married with young children. Our families' support, encouragement, and willingness to sacrifice time together, is what has made it possible for us to serve our fellow pilots.
We've dealt with a lot of challenges over the years, but the dysfunction and dirty politics which now seem to permeate USAPA's governing body has reached a level that we have not witnessed before at USAPA. It is truly sad to see just how much we have returned to the practices of our former bargaining agent.
It has recently come to our attention that several current and former BPR members have begun a campaign to undermine our personal integrity, and the integrity of the Ballot Certification Committee. We can only speculate that the intent of this campaign is to influence the outcome of the current recall referendum. We willingly endured the sacrifices to our personal and family lives in order to contribute to an organization which promised a better way to do business. Quite frankly, with the current level of dysfunction in USAPA, we have neither the time nor the desire to deal with such distractions.
We currently find ourselves in the difficult position of having to administer a recall referendum without the guidance of the Constitution and Bylaws or the UOM. In cases such as these, we must defer to the governing body for guidance. Unfortunately, recent actions by members of the BPR in knowingly disseminating false information to our pilots make it clear that the governing body lacks the integrity our pilots deserve. We refuse to be a part of any of that, and so we feel duty-bound to resign from the Ballot Certification Committee.
We are by no means trying to interfere with the ongoing referendum by withdrawing our volunteer services. Thus, should the BPR and officers request, we will provide the association with technical assistance in order to finish the current referendum and PHX nominations.
